when i went to interview in 2017 , i got rejected i had admission in rank 50 university , Colorado state university , boulder, the guy infront of me was going to new haven which was 102 rank . he got visa and i didnt. visa is just money making process for them .

Forget about Green card ,Indian born people are not going to get in near future. The wait time is more than 100 year (subject to correction). We should all try to develop India for that politics is the key no one is interested in Politics and public policy . I urge youth to take active part in public policy and politics.

Let me be honest . There is no assurance that the visa officer will ask you all the questions you expect. So, in the first question itself try to convey all of your highlighted points which has strong base of convincing the officer. In your case the mistake you did was you waited for the officer to ask the question about your home ties . You had to try telling your plans in the first question itself. No issues, you will do well in future for sure !

Below are the few questions and how you shoukd answer: Gre scores: Anything anove 300 wont get rejected so easily. Make sure you try to get atleast 305. Gre is not difficult at all if you are an average student you should get it. Universities: They will evaluate what universities you have applied. If you are someone who applied for just one university like lamar university or texas a&m kingsville or any such low graded universities with a score of 290s then they may consider you will enter u.s. and misuse the system like part times and all. So make sure you apply for better universities and get approval from atleast one good university. If they ask why this university your answers should detail your familiarity with the university and research activities that are undergoing. You should say for eg. I am obsessed with material sciences and university of houston is currentnky performing a curting edge research in shape memory alloys and i did my course project on a similar topic and hence i chose that university as my first preference. About your job duties: Make sure you clearly explain what you do and explain them in such a way that you arent trying to move to u.s. coz you dont have a decent job but, to upgrade your skill. Finally if they ask how can i trust you that you wont settle in the united states: You shouls say I dont have any such compelling need to violate laws on international soils. I will follow the due process and if my visa gets expired i will return to my country with the treasure of knowledge i have gained in us but, will never let my parents down.

Krishna Teja - What you say makes no sense or has any relevance. The current situation in India, recent deportation of Students, the kind of face or appearance he/she puts when they approach the counter plays a lot of role in determining whether Visa should be issued or not. Also, they might or may be a limit to the number of Visas to be issued from India - State wise. Don't jump to conclusions and spread it through your video. Needless to say, there are some officers who play nasty but since everything is monitored, such incidents are minimal in nature. I wonder if anybody ever greets the officer Proactively on reaching the counter.
