People often forget that not only did he win the million in the most awesome way possible, he was also the FIRST to win a million on that show. He waltzed into the show, and breezed right to the million dollar question without using a single lifeline. All the while, each and every single person before him used all 3 and couldn't win the million.

The contestant just set all that up in one little phonecall "I know the right answer, I just wanted to tell you guys I won" so all Regis had to do was confirm the answer, they'd already sat freaking out for the last 25 seconds of the phonecall.

I love how they tell whether the person is right or wrong immediately. In the Indian version, the host asks for the confirmation at least 5 times and then after staring into the soul of the participant for 30 seconds, he decides to reveal the answer after commercial break And now we are back from a commercial break, the host summarises the entire event that has happened before the break. There's a 10 seconds silence while the host gathers all his energy to shout at the top of his lungs that the answer was absolutely correct.

No other contestant I've known can say THAT and mean it. The funny thing is, a $125,000 math question on his second trip was what forced him to use a damn lifeline for real.
