Everything is so family oriented, and little kids are considered cute and adorable, not something noisy that disrupts your way of life. Makes me tearful.

I remember when a toy commercial would come on and my parents were around, one of us kids would be saying, "Mom Dad, see that, I want that for Christmas or my birthday." Just imagining we might get the toy was exciting. Loved this video waking up long ago memories.

My guess is that the Chills & Thrills ad was supposed to sound like Sympathy for the Devil by the Stones. And one of the screams was timed to quiet the fact that the announcer said "so f***king cold,"

Oopsie! I was watching happily, bathed in nostalgia (though many of these come from a bit past my prime as a toy consumer), when for some reason, I’d just had enough of one commercial or another. A creature of habit am I, and so I started looking for the “skip ad” button. Only after a wee bit of frustration did I remember that I was watching a full video of commercials, and on purpose. 🤣🤣🤣Times change, even if the fools living in them don’t, by much. LOL.

King Vitaman cereal (33:38) is not too well remembered. It was basically Cap'n Crunch, except shaped like jagged little crowns that could tear up the roof of your mouth if you didn't let them soak in the milk long enough. That was Joe Flynn from McHale's Navy as King Vitaman, with Paul Frees as Sir Laff-It-Up and the voice of the narrator. I'm not sure who did the voice of the Not-So-Bright Knight.
@zaq55 Жыл бұрын
Research indicates the King Vitaman ads were produced by the same people responsible for "Rocky & Bullwinkle," Bill Scott & Jay Ward. Scott was also the voice of Bullwinkle, and Not-So-Bright Knight kind of sounds like Bullwinkle, so there is a chance it was him.

It's not all 70s, I noticed there is some 60's and 80's commercials mixed in here too. For example 0:59 the Chills and Thrills drink was only available for a short time during 1967 and 1968 and at 9:04 you have a commercial for Eagle automobiles which did not exist until 1988.

(Revelation 20:11-15)And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:11-15)
