It's impressive to hear so much info about such enormous and diverse country! The one point missing from the customs segment is tipping... This is probably one of the most baffling and complicated customs for foreigners.

Just look at the tax and double that if it's just a little worse than average. If the tax is $5:50 give the lazy person $11:00. I think it's stupid too. Lazy people shouldn't get rewarded. Add a couple of dollars for average and go from there. Some states don't have food tax. I pay 10%.

@@touchmyroses6308 If the server is on the phone or just standing around and not taking care of there customers then that's lazy. Just common sense. If they are doing the job but nothing else that is average. If they go above and beyond tip high. Pretty simple.

I’m American and I visited all US states by the time I was 25, starting in PA and ending in SD. My favorites are Alaska and New York. ❤ Now, I’m on a mission to explore the rest of the world!! Also many smaller cities have hostels, too, btw! Amtrak is also great, for certain regions!

I've watched a lot of videos about other countries it's interesting to watch a travel guide about your own country. I've visited about 20/50 states, seeing the cities is fun but I got to say road trips are the best and the national parks people got to at least visit a few of them when visiting.

I'm from USA and the only sport I bother watching is Soccer. USA truly does have a lot to offer with 50 states, tons to do and see. I loved Hawaii and Florida too, but I would recommend Texas as well.

I've been sitting for hours watching your guides of all the counties and all very good and thorough information 👏🏼 You're giving me the iiiitch to travel more. As far as this USA guide, I'm from Texas and the only thing I would've done for this USA one is add more photos/videos of a few more of the major National Parks. We have such insanely beautiful spots I think I just wanted to see MORE of it haha. Like Glacier, Rainer, Grand Tetons, Zion, Great Smoky, Mammoth, Big Bend, yadda yadda. Just to show those who want to visit the absolute vastness and more visuals of the gorgeous options. Various beaches that are all so different, cave systems, the differing mountain ranges! Also, more views and recommendations for the bigger popular cities. Or maybe you did that and it's slipping my mind 😅 Like I said I've been watching for a while. Also, touching on that Christmas feeling in New York, even the ball drop for New Years or the Macy's Day parade for Thanksgiving or Halloween in Salem would be awesome too! And all the music festivals also! Girl I'm sorry, I'm going off the deep end, I could keep going on and on 🤣😅 Sometimes I take for granted how amazing our country is and watching this video and even commenting on it is making me so appreciative 🥲

Awesome video! The United States is such a great place to visit. I especially agree with you that a road trip in the US is a must! I've done several road trips around the US including one out to Colorado, Utah, and Arizona as well as one over in New England. Some other great areas to visit include the Upper Midwest including Michigan as well as the southern US like Texas, Alabama, and Tennessee.

Wow! Can't believe I've seen more of the USA than you!! But I get it...there's always an allure towards places you're not from, the unfamiliar. I'm from Australia and have seen more of the US than I have of my own country 🤣 Just adding to your point about culture...the tipping culture is a big thing that's not common in other countries and a good one for people to know. I've been living in the US 5 years and still get stressed about it!

Would add: - famous live music cities like Austin and Nashville -Wine regions Napa valley, Sonoma, the Finger Lakes etc. - You mentioned sports, but generally going to professional sports games / tailgating (or college football games in the South) - Other parts of the Southwest like Santa Fe, White Sands - Northeast beaches like Montauk, Cape Cod, etc. - Outer boroughs of NYC like Brooklyn and Queens - Southern coastal cities like Charleston, Savannah, the Outer Banks, NC - Smoky Mountains / Asheville, NC - San Diego, Palm Springs

great video! Loved watching it! May I also suggest a money related tip for US. ATMs in US all have different fees and withdrawal limits for foreign card holders - some have $2 fees and some as high as $5 for a single withdrawal. I used the ATM Fee Saver mobile app - it gave a list of ATMs in US with their fees and withdrawal limits. Was quite a life saviour to find those lower fee ATMs, never seen anything like this before, worth adding to your list, it will help a lot of international travellers!

There is a lot of good advice here but I gotta say after living 14 years in the US Americans are everything but direct. I cannot get a straight answer out of people, Americans are very polite no doubt but direct definitely not. Also I personally suggest everyone to travel rather in off seasons when the crowds are not driving the prices up even more. Otherwise thanks for the video Lexie.

As a French traveler loving the US, I have to disagree about New Orleans. I went recently, as it was part of our honeymoon and we were really disappointed. The city is dirty, poor and even during the day you have people high on drugs. Not to mention Bourbon street at night, super loud and awful. It was good for 3 days not more. Loved the architecture and food though, as well as swamp tours and plantations outside NOLA. I personally think there are plenty other US cities that worth it 😊 By the way , I love this new series of videos !

You can watch a hazy sunset through one of the many vast swaths of cornfields, tie one on with the suspicious inbred locals at one of the 4 bars (3 tooth minimum), or sit back and watch one of the 20 meth houses get raided by local police.
