The USWNT finish the year undefeated (14 wins, 4 draws) after a 2-1 victory against China PR. After going down 1-0 at the end of the first half, Sam Coffey scored her first international goal to level it. Then Jaedyn Shaw scored in her hometown of Frisco, TX to win the match.

They got knocked out via penalties. That match ended 0-0, so it technically and for all stats counts as a draw

What is it with U.S. Soccer as a whole celebrating beating inferior competition and parading around like they’re about to win the World Cup? This is why U.S. Soccer has lost its edge and hasn’t improved in over a decade. It’s pathetic we have the widest variety of talent in the world and facilities. It’s shameful we are behind in any sport globally.
