Hello from Las Vegas, young ladies. I don't think you understand how huge this song was back in the 1980s when I was your age. These artists are absolute superstars who gave of their time and artistry to create something so beautiful and selfless to raise money to feed massive amounts of people suffering from famine in Africa at the time. This song was on every radio station (no internet back them) and television channel. It went straight to #1 on the music charts, and uplifted everyone's spirits. I've never heard any music reactors complain that the song was too long. Instead, I hear reactors lamenting that we don't have this sense of care and community today. I hope, as you grow older, you will come to understand what a special song and moment in time this was.

You girls looked so bored. I like music from most eras but a large percentage of the music from these last 10 or 15 years Is so pitiful, cheap, and rushed, with most of it sounding almost exactly the same regardless of the genre, with a few exceptions of course. This was from a time that people sang with her own voices and with very little if any computer enhancement. Some of the absolute best singers of all time. Thanks for sharing, and hopefully some of these all-time legends will grow on you overtime. God bless.

Fun fact this song was sung and they sung it for free. Especially through what was going on during that time. Africans were starving and they had a bad lack of food and water. This song was made and raised millions, or maybe billions of dollars in charity to help them in need. The song took at least a week to develop. And it was because they were in a rush.

I understand there is a lot of repetition of the chorus, so I can sort of understand why you might think it's too long. But, when it was first released, it was so HUGE to see all these legendary performers together on the same stage, singing the same song, I think we all kind of didn't want it to end just because we thought we might get to see other singers there do a solo. There were quite a few who didn't get to solo; Harry Belafonte, the Pointer Sisters, Sheila E, Bette Midler, Lindsey Buckingham (From Fleetwood Mac), Jeffrey Osborne, and Smokey Robinson.

Seriously girls ? How sad is this reaction? Performers, all stars in their feild. Got together after an awards show, and spent all night to get this done. Everyone of them a star left their egos home, as the sign told them above the door, to do, and spent all night, in fact two greats you don't even know Stevie Wonder, and The Boss, aka Bruce Springsteen, came back, because they were a little short on footage. Their all great singers, and every reactor, I've seen, and heard, has had nothing but praise for them, and what they all did for free, out of the goodness of their hearts. I'm not sure where you're from. But just know they raised 60 some million dollars, to help with the deaths, and starvation, and suffering going on in AFRICA. Please, if you don't know them, get to. It's just not right to pass judgement on a song you thought was to long. When if you would check, the rest of the world praised, and loved. You just need to do some homework girls, I think if you listen to some of their music you will be very happy you did. 😊 Good luck.

Thanks Russell for commenting. They understand more now. I understood from the very beginning after doing some research. This group was in a rush to make money. singing for free, the charity group generated lots of money to help starving kids in Africa. I’m glad that every musician out there that was in the song practiced, built more instrumentation, and played for free. Although the song is catchy, focus on its goal. The starving kids in Africa.

There are only 2 that I don't know. After finishing the video of your reaction, you don't know. But you know, those artists put their original stamp on that song to help the world!! You young Ladies don't know that all those Singer's are Legends ago, I guess for you this is just a Song, but for the most of us, this Song has a deeper meaning. You look bored, and that's sad. When those Legends came together for to make this Song, there was a Singn at the Door on wich was written : " Let your Ego at the Door" Watch the making of We are the World, maybe you will know the background of the Song. Your Reaction is sad.
