for example if a student is studying commerce and accounts for 4 years in highschool that's going to be massive knowledge when they finish their highschool. It will be helping much in college. This is system is good one focusing on single subject for 4 years. Here only in 11th std we are fixing the department all those things.

I had been searching and asking people but no clear response. But yours definitely gave me clear picture. Though my kids are in elementary I was lot worried about the studies ennada eppo pathalum math and reading they hardly give hw in other subjects. By the way it will be great if you can talk about middle school curriculum aswell.

High school: Only one advise to your children. They work hard for 3 years ( 9th, 10th & junior year), they are all set for life by getting into DECENT college ( no need to be a top college). If they mess up the 3 years of high school, they will work hard/suffer for next 30 YEARS for nothing. Exceptions are the great entrepreneurs like Job/Gates/Zuckerberg college drop outs.

Very good explanation Sir. Talking about ROI for the taxes US people pay is huge comparing India. Kids get free education till 12th grade, free medical, unemployment allowance etc. On top of it what I heard is 1500 dollars was credited to all US citizens when they printed currencies during covid period to improve GDP. In India we pay lot of direct taxes and indirect taxes and we get 0 ROI. Also in here currencies was printed but not even a penny was given directly to honest tax payers
@papayafruit5703
@papayafruit5703 Жыл бұрын
My uncles and aunts received money for COVID and tax refunds . They are retired Kalpakkam scientists , school teachers, etc… FYI - In US NOTHING IS FREE . education is paid through state , federal and county tax . And we still pay for other kidseven after our kids go to college , through this method because taxes are compulsory . Medical is the worst system in US . If you have insurance you can be saved taht too if you don’t have major diseases . If you have complicated diseases - God must save you . Getting appointment from doctors even for just common cold is hell. Unlike in India with taht big population we have the luxury of walk ins if you know the doctor or not . Medical system is good in india but doctors are not good, because nowadays we have “uneducated “ doctors .
@priyamohan9522
@priyamohan9522 Жыл бұрын
@@papayafruit5703 I understand the challenges there. But something is better than nothing. I was there in US on a short business trip. Work culture is great and people are also great. Difference is whatever I can earn in India till my retirement age you people can earn and save in 5 years maximum. When a person account gets loaded with money and savings I feel it gives great financial security. In India that is never ever possible for a middle class person
@papayafruit5703
@papayafruit5703 Жыл бұрын
@@priyamohan9522 I agree with work culture. Here it’s EXTREMELY GOOD. But earnings …. If you start converting currency value of rupees to dollars naturally that superficial feel will be there . Thaanikku theeni charipointhehi …. Something along those lines - This phrase do fit ALMOST WELL if you are in IT and not a doctor and that has its own pros and cons . OFCOURSE you can save a bit . Also few more with restrictions etc…. And lot other hidden cost that are necessary, but we overlook in india are involved to keep you spending intelligently. That May a future investment . There is one example That fits the above description- buying and maintenance of house, college fees , car depreciation, most important credit card debts . Some how can scrape some peanuts here and there too. But again this just an input from my own experience and from my friends . All think that one can be rich overnight when you enter US . If you are over smart enough and with some luck it’s possible . Some advantages are here like some assurance of safety (depends upon the location you stay )
@priyamohan9522
@priyamohan9522 Жыл бұрын
@@papayafruit5703 I understand and agree whatever you say. No one can become rich overnight and this happens only in films. In nutshell US and other countries are far better than India. You cannot deny this because people who go to US never want to come back. This is the moral of the story. During covid 1st wave I did not even get 1 inr credit. In fact that year I paid 10% more ttax than usual because I was forced to withdraw my PF amount due to unemployment. See how rude things happen here. This is my own bitter experience and just an example

@@priyamohan9522 well in my family we prefer to have best of the both worlds since 2014. For visiting temples and enjoying variety of tasty fruits and vegetables, enjoy the company of families and friends, visit temples with extended families , some “me” time with school and college friends etc… snd in that process enjoying the latest infrastructure developments like modernization of railways that we saw AFTER 2014. Some major positive improvements we seem to have experienced after 2014 in many ways . Like my old uncle and aunt got their passports within 3-4 days , payment of tax to any thing they feel and it’s refunds were easy for them a fruit and vegetable vendors using cc hand held machines is unthinkable even in US . Well I didn’t mean overnight rich even the 5 year rich has the same effect . Yes , India need to improve more until we find hard workers , less of bribery , less of religion bashing etc… and concentrate more on developmental aspects . Just like Japan . But still to us Indians we find a great improvement since 2014 . A long way to go to weed off bad elements . We all give support however we can as NRI ‘s to invest in india to develop india . Lots of my friends including Actress Kasturi have returned back to india . Even our plan is also the same for the near future . We almost travel every year with our kids to keep in touch with our roots . Our retirement plan is india.

Hi, You don't plan for what kids HAD to do. That is first thing u do in USA as a parent never forces their future degrees. Guide them and DO NOT Pressure. Better monitor their grades(marks) throughout until 12th grade. As he said, do not force them to do classes they cannot do (like AP & advanced classes).

Since these school systems are totally new to me with 700+ courses I was curious to know where the requirements are laid out to specific college course. The engineering and medical are two common fields which everyone will quote as an example and so am I. But my intention was to know if the kid wants to take specific college course, as a parent how to make sure the kid is on right path to that course.

@@Mr007Gautham It is not that complex as it seems. Your Kid , they will teach you everything. In addition, most of the Desi parents ( especially South Indians) learn American Culture , ONLY, after the kid goes to high school from their children only ( :) ). Until then , most of the Desi Parents are Sambhar Rice & Idli/dosa parents. :) Keep it open minded. You guys choose the choice to be in America, when they want to embrace the culture with Indian traditions, do not oppose it. Good luck.

Good Insights. I have one question regarding Covered Call which is off topic for this video. Apologize, I am thinking to do covered call on SPY (every 3 days) and I see it gives better return. Is there any risk? I am planning to start with +$5 as strike price every 3 days. Also, would like to understand why you didn't take Options (Covered Call route) as it is less risky. Would like to hear from you as I am planning to retire in next couple of years. So, trying my best to keep multiple sources of income

Not correct. Indian education is good only CBSE and non CBSE for lower grades. In state board private tuition, guides, questions only from books are avoided, then state boards also be good. Teachers should challenge students to make them think. Only cream of creams of Indian students are coming to USA and settle well, out that cream only top most layers are in good positions. Please do not think that Indians who came to USA are doing great work.
