I don't think so. The goverment already knows the importance of Breaking and invest on it (Taipei Bboy City being one of the biggest events in Asia, for example), and even if they didn't, which again, is not the case, it got the green light for the Paris Olympics 2024. NYC lost fair and square and they would've lost anywhere against DRZ. I don't get why people tend to look down on asian bboys so much. The video shows just how better they are in battle, strategy and everything. So whatever.

For a regular Bboy jam where only Bboys who break are watching, then yes, you are right. But for a normal audience of all ages who knows nothing about Bboyin, but is willing to pay $20-$30 for a ticket to watch only two crews battle for 1hr straight... every single detail in this battle is necessary. Yes we will continually work to upgrade this type of Showdown battle but in the mean time, the most important is the audience, and the Bboys learning to earn a living from promoting their own hometown battles for their fans

the judges system run every round because we must teach the normal person how to watch the bboy battle,Let everybody know our bboy stuff not only the dancers

You need to understand one fact , most routines from korean bboys are pretty much copy from somewhere too . We aint living in 2000 , everybody is inspired by somebody . It's ridiculous to accuse them were biters. Cause you need to understand this is a showcase type of battle , they did too many rounds than normal bboy battle . It's impossible to do so many "original" routines as you guys expected .

@@viralandtv761 we have moves that we might have bit.....but to be honest, when was dreamrunnerz formed? most of our korean crews are from early 2000s. Back then, we made our own routines. We have our own structure.... i just see that it isnt working so well with them and it is way too obvious to know. At least try to like not make it obvious

Yeah i can see why it may be annoying to Bboys who are used to watching battles, but this type of "showdown" format is for the general audience who isn't used to watching Breakin and they need that little break in between in order to know who 's winning and why

Real battle is hour long

it was actually really enjoyable to watch. you get a chance to see the dancers go off and get a second chance. it was also a real crew battle , they had alot of moves so it wasnt bad very good in my opoion

In all honesty, I understand why you may think that way as I once did, but through the 25 years I've been Bboyin and part of this culture, I learned that way of thinking, is one of the most horrible and culturally damaging ways that have devastated the Bboy culture. Every other legitimate culture has it's own industry. You wouldn't tell an artist, athlete, rapper, dj, skater or warrior (mma) that they shouldn't make money from their hard work? Bboys are all of those things, why aren't we good enough, or valuable enough to earn a great living from our hard work? WHY? The truth is, THERE ARE ALREADY PEOPLE MAKING BIG MONEY OFF THE CULTURE... but it isn't the dancers themselves. Look at the big events out there and do the math? 15000 audience at BOTY in its hay day, x 20 euro tickets, = 300,000 euro not including sponsors, 1000 euro license fees and movie licensing. All the major promoters (besides silverback), make good money OFF of the Bboys, and they make all those Bboys battle for their paychecks. And honestly, there's nothing wrong with that because they provide something, someone is willing to pay for. But now these Bboys have found a way to promote their own exhibition battles, build their own fans and earn a decent living from Bboying, and people such as yourself have a problem with Bboys earning a living from breakin? With all the stigma around Bboys being broke or from poor upbringings, but you don't think they should earn money from their culture but it's ok for the promoters?

Well you need to define what's our culture is first? Right? Bboying is the last one element of hiphop that still can't make real big money . It's been 40 years , we are still starving . Those kids might not fit in your so-called culture ,but at least they are trying to make a new way out of starving from daily . And if you know them well , you wouldn't say that they are not that cultured . Those kids are from a park trained hard to be what we've seen now , it's just like those rock steady crew or original zulu kingz did back in the days. And they try to represent their local isn't just like those old nyc bboys try to represent their hoods too . So what's your point bboying can not into sports ? I would say bboying is sport but is also art too and sometimes it's more like gaming . It's all about how you see it . Peace .
