Pumped that Regan was able to grab that 100 Back WR. A lot of people say she struggles in big meets, I think her having that WR coming in is gonna be a big confidence boost for her. Pumped for Dressel in that 100 Fly. I think he'll podium, maybe even gold, but that race is gonna be a fucking dog fight. It could end so many ways.

Sub 57 W100BK ? Possible but not betting on it. Smith does not always bring her A game to the big meet. Even here, she was undeniably superlative over 100 but both her 200s were underwhelming. Whilst I definitely agree the W4X100 should be much closer than Fukuoka with AUS times somewhat muted, TBH USA (despite all the boosterism) Trials were a bit of an airswing with times other than Douglass nowherte near what we were promised. Best gold chances: W800, W1500, W100FLY, W4XMED, M4X100. Solid gold chances: M4XMED, M100FLY, W200IM, W200BRS, W100BK, M100BK

What about Finke in the 1500? He was faster at US Olympic trials than at Worlds trials last year just weeks before swimming the 14:31 in Fukuoka. Hafnaoui is out. Finke has a record of consistency at the big meets & saving his race legs for the big clash.

I think Smith will be better in the 200s in Paris. She was 2:03.9 in the 2back in spring. My picks are still Kaylee & Summer in those events though.

@@coyote75 Maybe ! However, she similarly swam fast 200 back and fly last year but when it came to the major meet; she flied ..... and died in both. IF she had the form in those events, one might've thought she'd look to be making some sort of statement that this wasn't going to happen any more ...... but we didn't see that in either event.

There were many noteworthy performances. He wasn’t trying to be comprehensive. It don’t think it was meant as a deep dive analysis. It would be a much longer video.
