Well it was 17 years ago so no one expected anyone from that game to still be playing now. The problem is that apparently Argentine basketball did not and does not have any kind of development pipeline to replace these players with younger talent so that they wouldn't be getting embarrassed at this year's Olympics.

Im a black American but absolutely loved how Argentina played in this era and was a huge Ginobili fan when he was on the Spurs. I always considred Argentina my favorite sports country for some reason. Only country in the world with a gold medal in both Basketball and Soccer. I need to come down and visit soon! Love from USA

18 años despues, este juego es historico. Que grande fue ese equipo Argentino. Una autentica catedra dieron a los siempre inflados de usa. Manu mostro que estaba en otro nivel y que en ese momento era el mejor guardia del mundo. Un honor para Latinoamerica y muchas felicidades a los hermanos Argentinos desde Mexico.

Veo el basketball y lo practico desde que tengo 8 años de edad, y es por ello que a continuación realizaré con bases y con fundamentos específicos mi siguiente análisis acerca de Manu: Le duela a quien le duela, Manu ha sido el mejor jugador de los San Antonio Spurs y de los mejores jugadores que han existido en la historia de la NBA. Si hubiera sido titular y hubiera jugado más minutos sería obviamente no solo el mejor anotador por mucho de los San Antonio Spurs, sino de los mejores anotadores de la liga, así de sencillo. Lo mejor de todo es que adicional a ello era un gran defensivo y un gran asistidor. Mis respetos, nadie como el. Fue el jugador más humilde, aceptando ser un jugador de rol que no le correspondía debido a que siempre fue una estrella para todos, pero Pop no se lo permitió y los motivos hasta la fecha se desconocen. Simplemente creo que Pop por sus propios intereses no quiso que el argentino brillara. Aún así todo el mundo lo respeta como la gran estrella clutch y me atrevo a decir que pudo haber sido en varias ocasiones el mejor anotador de toda la liga. Te apreciamos y mereces estás palabras de tu servidor por qué soy una persona observadora y analítica. Te queremos Manu, gracias por todo lo que nos diste con tu gran talento y magia en la NBA. Eres uno de los mejores de la NBA y del mundo 👏😊🏀🌎

Le duela a quien le duela, Manu ha sido el mejor jugador de los San Antonio Spurs y de los mejores jugadores que han existido en la historia de la NBA y no precisamente Tim Duncan. Si hubiera sido titular y hubiera jugado más minutos sería obviamente no solo el mejor anotador por mucho de los San Antonio Spurs, sino de los mejores anotadores de la liga, así de sencillo. Lo mejor de todo es que adicional a ello era un gran defensivo y un gran asistidor. Mis respetos, nadie como el. Fue el jugador más humilde, aceptando un rol que no le correspondía debido a que siempre fue una estrella para todos, pero Pop no se lo permitió y los motivos hasta la fecha se desconocen. Simplemente creo que Pop por sus propios intereses no quiso que el argentino brillara. Aún así todo el mundo lo respeta como la gran estrella clutch y me atrevo a decir que pudo haber sido en varias ocasiones el mejor anotador de toda la liga. Te apreciamos y mereces estás palabras de tu servidor por qué soy una persona observadora y analítica. Te queremos Manu, gracias por todo lo que nos diste con tu gran talento y magia en la NBA. Se ve que Ginobili es el único jugador al que viste jugar en tu vida. Dejando todas las huevadas de lado, como que "habría sido el mejor anotador de la NBA, si hubiese jugado de titular", Ginobili no fue ni siquiera el jugador argentino más talentoso de la historia. Fue el más exitoso, que es otra cosa.

@@mateofazzini No es así. Vos, cuántos viste jugar personalmente? No fue el más talentoso, ni el más aguerrido, ni el que tuviese la mejor técnica basquetbolística, ni mucho menos. No fue el mejor tirador, ni tampoco el mejor defensor. Fue, posiblemente, el más profesional de todos, que es muy distinto. Muy inteligente para jugar, como otros. Pero la diferencia es que Ginobili jugó en el basquet más profesional del mundo gran parte de su carrera. Y eso supo aprovecharlo excelentemente. Terminen de idealizar cosas que no son. Háganlo en el fútbol, si quieren, pero eso en el basquet está completamente fuera de lugar!! Ginobili no fue, ni será el mejor jugador argentino de la historia. Tal vez ustedes hablan de una historia de 15 años. Yo vi jugar personalmente, desde "Chocolate" Rafaelli para acá, a todos, así que a mí no me vengan con pelotudeces!!!!

This was important in more ways than one. It showed other countries that this could be done, whilst also giving the US a sharp wake-up call, simply turning up with NBA brand names isn't enough.
