Lol who cares. The game was garbage on both sides. Terrible give aways, can't shoot the puck hard enough to clear the zone, no positional hockey played. 5th goal by USA - all 5 Canadian players standing within feet of the crease. Guess we just leave our assignments?

Thats not really a rivalry in womens hockey so much as two teams dominating head and shoulders above the rest. Yes these two are a worthy womens hockey watch, (can't say that about most other womens hockey teams) but they are no where near the best rivalry in sports.

Marie Philip Poulin, Madame CLUTCH. She is SO inspiring. If the aliens came and said one-game match against their best female hockey player, my money's on Ms. Poulin every time. What a money player. The only surprising thing about this game is that she didn't score the OT winner again. Congrats to all the women, what a TEAM!

The Czechs and Finns are getting better for sure... Both teams had some injuries to contend with and didn't show their best vs Canada or US in the Semis... BUT BUT BUT... they are closer than people think... look at 2019 in Finland , where FInland... BY RIGHTS... should have won WC gold... Also the Swedes had a brutal 3rd period vs Germany... But they're another up and coming women's national team program... after Czechia and Suomi... With continued support vis a vis homegrown club teams and the PWHL, something akin to parity (although Canada and USA will always be the 2 best teams) is on the horizon... Look at the U18's ... Czechia's girls upset Canada... That's gonna happen more often, going forward... PEACE OUT

Truth bomb - The women's game is a joke, with the US & Canada trading gold medals, Sweden & Finland trading bronze and then everyone else. Over and over forever. They took baseball out of the Olympics because it wasn't competitive and the game was supported by too few countries - that's the exact situation with women's ice hockey. Not sure what to do with it, but this is just boring.

Keeping it as a major sport in IIHF and the Olympics will lead to development from the other nations. Removing tournaments is definitely not gonna fix the issue of skill gap here

Both teams evenly matched. Both made mistakes constantly; defences have more holes than a Swiss cheese. Never saw so many skaters fall to the ice without being checked. So may shots missed the net. Some goals were lucky bounces. Despite Canada being older and slower, determination paid off. Great rivalry tho. A pity the amerikans are poor losers.

Great game for the fans. Americans were naturally upset with the result, but what makes you say they're poor losers? They shook hands after accepting the silver medals and that silly second place trophy. They respectfully listened to the Canadian anthem, and I don't blame them for leaving after that.
