It's fascinating to watch the development of our understanding of radiological contamination by watching these videos. In the earlier tests, test samples of fallout, nuclear cloud particulates, etc., were handled with care, but the person collecting the samples usually wore shorts and other basic uniform items, and every so often you might see someone wearing a dust mask; here they've moved on to proper filter respirators and protective clothing (which reduces the chances of contamination). They knew enough to keep their distance in order to reduce their dosage, but it took time and experience to understand just how easy it was take home radiological contamination.

I’m guessing the failed tests simply lost the warhead core material into the ocean. Very excellent film! Thanks!!

🤔Maybe you should aim for something a bit more “modest”[?]-how about proposing to add another state to the Union? (🤔Or maybe adding to the territory of an existing State?…) 😏…Say-by any chance-ever heard of the island of Navassa? 🤨Now *there’s* wasted real estate…

@@Sedgewise47 Well, they bought Alaska from the Russians and most of the continental United States from Napoleon so it's not unprecedented and the US still leases the US Virgin Islands as well as holding Guam and Puerto Rico in perpetuity. The elites in government are so corrupt, we might be able to just bribe them.

@@Sedgewise47 How "modest" was the Declaration of Independence? The United States itself originated from visionary boldness. I have heard of Navassa and other such islets. Indeed, it is a waste of real estate; who could have predicted the political power of guano?

@@jamielacourse7578 Nice story but it’s not true. There are flames touching most members of the band on the original cover of street survivors and they survived. The creepy thing is the picture has flames appearing to surround and envelope Steve Gaines, much more so than all the others. The ironic thing about the whole situation is that the plane crashed into a forest and didn’t even catch on fire. None of the casualties were caused by fire or smoke, it was all from blunt force trauma that the injuries and fatalities occurred.

What is fast fission on hydrogen bomb?
@oldfatbastad6053
@oldfatbastad6053 2 жыл бұрын
fast neutrons produced in a hydrogen bomb by fusion of deuterium and tritium have even higher energy than the fast neutrons produced in a nuclear reactor. This makes it possible to increase the yield of any given fusion weapon by the simple expedient of adding layers of cheap natural (or even depleted) uranium. Fast fission of uranium-238 provides a large part of the explosive yield, and fallout, in many designs of hydrogen bomb.

What he wrote about fast fission was accurate. Most "H-Bombs" are fission-fusion-fission with each step multiplying the energy released in the next. A pure fusion bomb is relatively clean. The more fission, the dirtier they are.
