She was around 16 in this movie and I think she still looks exactly the same at age 31.

If you haven't seen the movie Camp, it just makes this performance so much better. She plays a somewhat nerdy, quiet, shy, etc girl who is taken advantage of by the first girl. This scene is her transformation, also just awesome in general.

This performance absolutely stuns me. Sondheim in general is NEVER easy to sing and yet here you have a girl who is about 30 years too young to be playing this role, and she absolutely nails it. The tone of her voice, the facial expressions, the attitude - she completely captures the emotional mood of the song. I am beyond impressed.

Yes, it's definitely her singing - she was a broadway actress and actually was the second-youngest performer to ever receive a Tony nomination at age 12.

This was the first time I ever saw Anna Kendrick in a movie. After this scene, I knew she would be a force to be reckoned with.

I know she comes from a Broadway background, being the youngest nominee in history, so I would love her to go back to her theater roots and be in a musical. For someone so small, she has such presence and power.

This is the part of the movie that sticks out the most in my brain. It's an enjoyably bad movie, with some truly horrible characters, but this scene and this character are simply enjoyable.

Man! I remember watching this when the movie first came out, and thinking, "Who IS this girl?? She knocked it outta the park!" When she wound up in Twilight, I was a bit disappointed. Thank goodness for Up in the Air! When Glee came out, I hoped she do a guest spot, but she did one better: Pitch Perfect! I mean, she's no Elaine Stritch, but for an 18 y-o, dang!

Omg she was FIFTEEN in this part! Such a voice range for that age! I love her little girl voice when she talks but amazing voice when she sings

I just love the look on his face, like, "well she's insane but dayum....DEM PIPES!!! ."

There was supposed to be a scene in between her singing where the boy she poisoned was puking nearby while glaring at her sing. They cut it though, because Anna's performance was just that amazing that the director didn't want to take her spotlight. It's explained in her book.

I love how you can basically read Anna's book with KZfaq by your side, and to go back and see most of the things she talks about. Like, you can even see her super high in painkillers during the Spirit Awards when Cate Blanchett won. And who else cried when she talks about her mom standing outside the theatre listening to the audience clapping for her at the end of High Society? Omg that always breaks me. (Yes, I've read it more than once)

@asburycameron I'm glad so many people like this vid! 'Camp' was the first movie I ever saw Anna Kendrick in...but I didn't know who she was back then. Now when I go back and watch this, I'm like "Damn, this girl is really good; why didn't I pay attention to her before?"

first time I actually heard kendrick sing. She's my favorite character in this movie. She's an inch away from throwing acid at her face. Best line in the movie was said to her by Mr.Henly, the one the lead to this scene. "It's better to regret something you have done, than something you haven't done."

if you aint never seen this movie WATCH IT! it may be low budget but it was funny and boy could they sing. This was how i was introduce to Anna Kendrick. How she sabotage that other girl to get on stage was hilarious.

I love her. Kristen is and will always be my favorite, but I also happen to LOVE Anna. She's just amazing.

Nobody else sing this song so well and so convincingly. I listened to a bunch of other, famous, singers, because I couldn't find it on iTunes. But nobody comes close, so I have to make do with the yputube video tonplay it. Great song, talented singer.
