Obviously I don't want anyone to be hurt like that, but I especially hope Alicia wasn't touched by him. She was super nice to me when I met her and as a vaulter myself, she was my favorite American gymnast for the entire time she was competing on the national team. Ugh. And watching all these competitions recently, you can catch glimpses of the monster. One of them, he's walking a girl (can't recall who, but it was someone well-known) back behind the curtain to a treatment room, and he had his hand on the small of her back. Which, yeah, that can be a comforting gesture when you're guiding someone who is upset to an area they aren't familiar with... thing is, though, that his hand STAYED there. Like I wouldn't be surprised if the lower part of his hand was touching her underwear (through the leo, obviously), it was that low. They kept walking and his hand stayed. It was creepy.

Wondering why more didn't come of Natasha Kelly. She's incredible.
@mchur0016 жыл бұрын
Kelley got nailed at 2006 Worlds for her execution and in addition fell off BB in prelims. She also could not compete all of the difficulty that she did here at Nationals. She was not credited for a lot of her slow connections on BB and her lack of full split on FX-which all were credited at Nationals and she could not compete her DTY vault and had to water down to a 1 1/2. As a result, judges correctly scored her execution in 2007 at Nationals and she dropped significantly after the surge of talented juniors made their way up (Sloan, Peszek, Johnson, Hong, plus Worley was injured in 2006 and returned in 2007). A similar situation occurred in 2007 when Sam Peszek struggled to compete her full difficulty at Worlds and Ivana Hong was nailed for execution on UB. Not to mention that after her BB failure at Worlds, Kelley returned to the 2007 American Cup and struggled a bit as well.

Not used to seeing Nastia not in pink
@You.Tube.Sucks.6 жыл бұрын
MaKayla Clark-Sol Really? That's surprising because she wore non-pink leotards at every televised competition from 2005-2007. Three years of non-pink leotards, haha. She definitely seemed to make a point of wearing a pink on least one day of each competition after her iconic pink-leotard-wearing performance at the 2008 Beijing Olympics! Basically, you're unlikely to see Nastia wearing pink prior to the 2008 Visa Championships and very likely to see pink in 2008 and 2012 (oh, and that one time in 2009, haha). I thought she looked better in red -- which she wore her very last time competing, on day 2 of the 2012 Olympic trials :( I have blossomed from a 4-year fan into an obsessive KZfaq watcher, so everyone's leotards are ingrained in my head, whether I like them or not :) If anyone remembers Nastia wearing a pink leotard prior to the 2008 Visa Championships, please feel free to jog my memory.

@mchur0016 жыл бұрын
No, he asked why Nastia didn't do the front double full out of the 1 1/2 twist. She did a full twist instead-which later cancelled her 3rd tumbling pass. Nastia could have changed her third pass to a double full to replace the first pass, but instead she kept the front layout full, front tuck full which gave her 0 difficulty score and 0 connection value. She continued to struggle on that first tumbling pass and eventually they ditched the 3rd line altogether (plus the front tuck full was devalued) and so it became front full immediate front double full as her first pass and then 1 1/2 imemdiate rudi as her 3rd pass.
