It shows the power of soccer and why it is the best and biggest sport in the world. Soccer unites people globally. As a Brit I find it hilarious how right-wing American people are trying to politicise this. It part of soccer culture that the whole crowd sings song. It is not even the first time this has even happened in the MLS because Portland and Atlanta song the national anthem too and they do this every time the men's US national team plays too.

This has happened in every sport. It happens because Americans love their country, love their flag and love their national anthem. YOUR comment was the only one I read that politicized it.

I was singing along to the Star Spangled Banner, and even my own niece found it (somewhat) annoying. But oh well, that's unity and I'm proud to sing for the country that I love, no matter what sport is played. 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
