USD Aeon soul plates for $7.37?? Gorilla tape???

2 жыл бұрынOn today’s video I cut 2 soul plates out of an $0.88 Walmart cutting board and attach them to the USD Aeon using Gorilla brand mounting tape that I purchased for $6.49... works great so far 😁
If this doesn’t work I’ll probably be upgrading to “Sliqx” but since I already had the cutting board laying around I had to give it a shot!

I had 3d printed some thin shapes that follow the contour of the soul and glued them on. I was so sure it was gonna work but they didnt stick well. Maybe I should do the same again but with gorilla tape.

Honestly I think it would work with different plastic!!! The cutting boards are non stick after all. Let me know how it works. Definitely worth the few bucks for gorilla tape

this is EXACTLY what I have been looking for. The price of Sliqx is too high for me, and I figure why not DIY it.

The gorilla tape failed me but you could still use some of it to layer in between the two Aeon soul plate bumps and then use screws

Yeah, my thoughts were similar. I was thinking to pad the back with hot glue or smoething, and then use mounting hardware from regular soul plates to screw it on

Lol I just got home from a session. They both popped off. In a perfect world they stay on perfectly but in real life if you miss a grind and you kick the side of the soul plate or you roll your foot over the top of the ledge too much it’ll pop it off. I had to give it a try though! 😁
