This was at Foster falls. You hike down to the falls and this scene is on the left hand side of the bridge which crosses in front of the falls. Good luck!

No, this should be a pretty standard operation (Clipping layer) in Photoshop. You need to hold down the option key (or alt key if using a PC) and hover over the lower right corner of the layer you are clipping. That should give you that icon for clipping. When the icon pops up, just click. It can be very finicking sometimes so you might have to play with where you are hovering. BUT...if that just doesn't work, you use the menus to do the same action. Click on the layer you just made..that you want to clip to the lower layer. Go to the menu bar and choose LAYER > CHOOSE CLIPPING MASK. Once selecting that menu item, it will perform the clipping. @@easternshorephotoinstruction Thanks for the advice. I found this Clipping Mask function but I guess it's rarely used. I don't understand what it does but need to practice more with these levels and masks

No I think you can do it in LR. I haven't really tried. But I would think apply the right mask, make adjustments with clarity/texture/dehaze. Maybe using an intersection with luminosity you might get close to the effect.

@@easternshorephotoinstruction Yes, this technique can be accomplished in Photoshop. And you can do so much more with the image. This is a nice tutorial, however, I thought your audio sounded a little odd, nonetheless, it was understandable.
