Yes but you are going to need a USB-C to USB cable. That way you can plug in the controller adapter.

I know this is a stupid question but i have an Nintendo Switch Lite which obviously doesn't have the port like the regular Switch so i don't have a dock to plug in an adapter like the ones you've talked about in the video but i do have is an HP Chromebook so my question is could i just plug in the adapter in to the Chromebook and it won't damage my laptop in anyway cause i can't afford a new laptop at the moment. Sorry for the long question and any info/ help would be greatly appreciated.

It should work for Chromebook as well. What the adapter does it give what ever it's connected to, the ability to read the wave signal for the controller. It doesn't hurt to try and it won't damage your Chromebook. :)

You have to check the website of each adapter, but I bet it would work if it is Bluetooth.

Except I ONLY own a Switch Lite model for that model you can't USE USB to charge the controllers AND keep the Switch Battery at 100% at the same time and no my own PC's USB drives don't fit the switch controllers USB in order to charge the batteries for Switch controllers that way. What I could do is own a 2nd Switch charger like the one that comes WITH the Switch itself by buying a 2nd one and use THAT to charge a wireless Switch controller and keep the Battery of the switch fully charged at the same time.

If it's an 8bitdo adapter, you can only use one. Not sure for other adapters, though.

It works if it's a wired one. My third party wired ones work and first party ones dont work with the official dongle plugged into that adapter

For this to work, you plug in the wireless adapter to the side of your Switch, go into your switch settings and make sure you have the option for a wired controller turned on, and that's it! It should recognize your controller as a regular Switch Pro controller. No question is dumb. It's a great question! Hope this answer helps!

What adapter did you purchase? Make sure to enable wired controller in the setting as shown in the vid.

Hello, I bought the adapter (which was £25) and it still didn’t let me connect the Xbox controller. If you are looking for a wireless controller for switch I would recommend just buying a Nintendo pro controller!

Not sure what's misleading you're referring to. He does show it using ps5 controller but he did tell on how to connect with other controller using usb Bluetooth dongle..
