My go-to Bi guru, Thanks for ALL you do and represents sir. I have a question not really related to this tutorial. You did a series in SELECTCOLUMNS and SUMMARIZE. Pls, what's is the difference between both and when to use them.

Hi there, thanks for watching and subscribing! They're both table functions but SUMMARIZE groups the columns you feed it, whereas SELECTCOLUMNS doesnt. So if you have duplicate values on a field you use on SELECTCOLUMNS, you will get unique values if you use SUMMARIZE. Hope that helps!

Hi Eyitayo, thanks for the question! If i understood correctly, you need to show the % growth using the same data? The quickest way to show % growth is by using the ribbon chart (shows % change automatically) however if you need an explicit DAX measure it can get lengthy, i'll see about covering it in my future videos!

there is possibility to add percentage beside the number ? for example : 2,000 (49%), as i see you can make the value numbers or percentage but not both.

Hi there, great question! I don't think you can with this visual, you can probably have either value or percentage but not together I'm afraid

Hi Fernan, Thanks for the explanation. Can we also make budget vs actual either quantity or Price for each category i.e. Territory, county, customers. Kindly advise.

Hi Rehan, filter context should still apply to the Decomposition Tree, if you add a Filter Slicer to your data by Territory or Country, it should still work

I have built a very similar tree to yours, however, at the end, where you have 'Quantity', I would like to see totals, not breakdowns. e.g. for Europe> Sweden> total of gummy bears; instead of 2 users having 4 gummy bears, 10 users having 5 gummy bears, etc.; is this possible or do I need to create a custom column? I cannot wrap my head around how the formula would even look like since I have a table exactly like yours, thx a lot
