That’s physics my man. This is EXACTLY what kids need to see and understand to learn how to pitch with their best a abilities. Take the variables out of the equation and push the limits of what YOUR BODY physics are. Thank you for all you do to educate Trevor.

Was taught to drop to balance and push for my whole career (D1 catcher). First time I threw a ball over 90 MPH was as a 35 year old weekend baller who finally learned how to throw correctly. This point was included in my changes.

Would love to hear your thoughts on the use of the pitching rubber vs kicking out a rut next to it. Kids lose a shit-ton of energy by not anchoring that back foot well enough. Love to hear you discuss that....especially with regards to footwear/ cleat type and placement of the push-off foot. I struggled with that early on in my pitching career.
@chrismarston4266
@chrismarston4266 Жыл бұрын
I hated when there was a rut on the mound, but I also had a really long stride and pushed off the rubber hard so I would end up a foot or two off of it with my back foot after I released the ball. The rut made my foot get stuck and lost me control and velo. It’s all about feel, some people like their back foot anchored in for balance, others want more freedom for a bigger push.

This is what I learned in college. We called it “creating the power angle.” Think about putting load on your back leg by dropping down while still keeping your upper body over the back foot. This is so you don’t just fall towards the plate and you actually use your back leg to then drive towards the plate. Leg strength is so important for pitching and specifically generating velocity

I freaking love you!! I think you have found your muse also, here helping and sharing all your knowledge and life's work. I hope to see you back pitching one day and you should of played with the Cubs. The bench of the Dodgers is filled with silencers and finger pointers and who feel they are above you. Which we all know is bullshit. Anyway carve your life out the way you want and don't let them get in your way of your path. God bless you! It would be good if you turned to God and know that he is with you also.

Trevor, I'm curious if you have ever taken your ideas and applied them to a trebuchet? Specifically, the application of various forces with various degrees of "effective" force isolation? Sorry, I'm an old dad and a laymen but have always been curious about physics... also, maybe put in some "weaklinks" symbolizing the fragility of the human arm, shoulder, etc... thinking about sponsoring the high school physics department to use these midevil machines, in understanding forces in application to sports...
