Use of derivatization in Gas Chromatography

Күн бұрынGas chromatography separates compounds according to their behavior as a gas. Chemicals that do not vaporize are chemically modified (derivatized). This type of chromatography always is done with an internal standard.

I believe that the correct answer is "yes". In decades past HPLC was the little brother to GC... HPLC equipment was not reliable and more expensive but that has changed. I would guess that these molecules are still more commonly done with GC, but this is changing! Thanks for your comment.

The laboratory procedure that is described closely follows an analysis that I once did for tetrahydrocannabinol. There are, of course, lots of variations.

My memory, (which is failing me),,,, says that benzoylecognine is the metabolite of cocaine. I ramble. The answer is 'no'....no experience. If you are faced with a method development problem, just do some research and aggressively try things. It should not be hard. thanks for the comment.

hi, i have one question....can i use sonicator (then shake a lilbit) to mix the sample, std and solvent instead of using vortex?

I have braod experience with GC especially GC/MS. The analytes are usually derivatized!
