Creating a drop down list is usually take a while because you need to get take our the unique values from a list and maybe use the data validation feature to create the dropdown. When something changes you have to update that list. An easier way to create a dropdown is with a pivot table and it's dynamic (i.e., changes based on your source table changes though you will need to refresh the pivot table).
