I love the way natural light brightens up the area when making videos 😊

I love that you talk about using natural light :) I think we get stuck thinking that we need 10 strong lights as cinematographers to get our visions done. We do not, the best source is up there in the sky👌

2400 watts of light to balance against the sun... I think you'dve done easier by gelling the windows to bring the sun down to allow you to require you to need less lighting output. Otherwise... Apurture gonna have to send you 2 of those Electro Storm 24's

Did you do anything to reduce the amount of light on the bass player, since he’s so much closer to the key light than the guitar player (and vocalist)?

Yeah, real simple, easy peasy, 2x 600C's, a 120D with a wag flag for diffusion to battle sun while shooting with zeiss lenses on an alexa camera pushed around on a dolly thing... Easy. Haha! I'm kidding of course, yeah, the idea of just shooting with one light source and backlighting with the sun is a simple idea that often goes under looked!

I feel good seeing others struggle with the brightness of the sun coming into an indoor shoot. But what really excites is this gadget at 5:03. I have been trying to find anywhere some pointers on making a (simpler) bicycle wheel dolly that a small gimbal can ride (at about tripod height, so maybe tripod on flat platform that is on axles to bicycle wheels?). Until I saw this I have thought I am the only one thinking of bicycle wheels. But as simple as this is in concept I have no idea how to get started. Anyone have any tips?

Hey not sure of any tips but it’s called a Rickshaw! Now sure if that helps, we rented it at the rental house in SLC

@@BradyBessette That's insanely helpful, actually, as now that I have the word (rickshaw) I see that even B&H has these sorts of things - thanks a ton! Now, for people who are on a budget but need the flexibility of having something on-hand, this morning I might have found something to get started: some models of those bike trailers. Like I have found one that comes with the options of a third wheel and handles, for carting. The main wheels are 20 inches, which is just what I am looking for. For anyone in the same position, I might suggest looking at it as just one example of this "bike trailer" solution. It's called "Booyah's Cargo Stroller and Bicycle Bike Trailer." Not the cheapest - others are less than half the price (often with 16-inch wheels - still good, I think). I think without a whole lot of mods a person might make this or a similar item work (but just for their camera and gimbal and support - these bike trailers will not hold the weight of a person! - so, there are likely some limitations on what a person or two can manage in terms of controlling focus, that sort of thing). But, if I need to rent a rickshaw, now I know what to ask for - thanks again!
