It’s true! Protective styling the hair wet definitely retains length better and holds moisture from the conditioners longer. When I band my hair I always do it damp and African thread my ends with yarn. I haven’t blow dried my hair in 7 years. 😊

The part of chaka zulu is offensive ma’am. African here 😒 but African women in those hair salon only breaking our hair. They have to be educated that

Your right ! I’m sorry 😞 I’m my mind I meant is doesn’t Matter if you go to the best of the best braider that doesn’t make it a protective style , we all know how great Zulu was and that African braiders are the inventors and best at the craft . But I can understand how some will not see the reference or humor in my analogy. Thank you for watching and please don’t hold it against me moving further

My twists were so tight. I asked her not to do it tight. Howbout it was still too tight after she finished. Took 3 days to stop hurting. I now go to the Dominican salon where they actually LISTEN and do what YOU want. I only get silk presses and that's only on special occasions

You are so right ! Your a texture pro 💪🏾, most people texture will return to a beautiful coil , kink or curl once it’s really moisturized, a lot of people do not know their true texture because it’s always frizzy , dry or stretched. I’m a 4c when my hair is dry but baby I swear sometimes when I really heavily moisturize and seal imma 4a/4b for the day 😂😂 , thanks for watching my love

Omg new subscriber! I hardly ever comment online but you are soooooo funny and I don’t think people are funny like that lol. I just want to say your channel is soooo unique. I been trying to manifest 30 inch hair by doing affirmations and taking better care of my hair. This channel is definitely on the same frequency I’m on and need to stay on. I’m so excited for my hair journey as well as my daughters. Thank you for this! I’m learning so much that no one else is teaching. I do have a question when it comes to my daughter she have slightly looser curls than myself (she’s 3) I know you stated low manipulation how can I achieve having low manipulation I feel I have to brush her hair in the two ponytails daily due to frizz

Thank you so much gorgeous girl , I appreciate you babe , you will have 35 inches of hair , how bout that 😉✨ as far as your princess find a protective style that you can leave in her hair for a few days longer , maybe French braids or if you do plaits increase the number of individual plaits , even if you stretch it for 2-3 more days that will help , also switch to a very soft brush something so soft you can use on a infant and just focus on brushing fly aways , avoid combs and Detangling brushes as much as possible her hair is a looser curl so you should be able to get away with using water 💦 oil and your fingers most of the Year , that will definitely help her retain soooo much length

Thanks a bunch, how do you moisturize with the faux locs in?
@cocaknotz
@cocaknotz 5 ай бұрын
Your welcome and it’s almost impossible to moisturize with faux locs in that’s why it’s super important to over moisturize before you put them in I use a lot of butter to seal the hair strands before I wrap and it works pretty well even after months of wearing it , it will still be moisturized when taking them out , with the faux locs you can only tend to the scalp properly

Tried moisturising my hair before putting extensions in and it did not go down well with the hairstylist as she said it made my hair too slippery!! I now prepare the night before and its still damp the next morning; the hairstylist blow dries my hair (I have to tell her to add heat protectant though) to stretch it even further. I hate heat but I can tolerate the brief blow-drying session. The only issue I have when protective styling is moisturising my hair - it gets real frizzy and looks awful. I can only have a protective style in for 5 weeks max! I get really envious when I see others on YT moisturising their protective styled hair with water and it looks so good - why can't it be me??? My hair is a combination of 4A, 4B and 4C and quite thick.

I understand a lot of stylist have a hard time operating on oiled hair I don’t know why though 🤦🏾‍♀️, and if your hair can only do a month that’s still really good , don’t be too hard on your beautiful hair , try a protective style that no one can see how frizzy your hair is like , a lace closure sew in or faux locs 😘

🙋🏻‍♀️new to the channel and not the chung li hair 😂😂 and i was curious if you've ever used the products on a person that has alopecia I've been trying to help a friend grow their hair or offer advice and they have dreads with the alopecia spots currently they are using tea tree oils and i forgot what else but things that help stimulate hair growth
@cocaknotz
@cocaknotz 8 ай бұрын
Welcome to the long hair society babes , 😂😂😂 I am low key a comedian. I have used the products on people with alopecia , hair loss and bald spots , their hair did improve, slowly but surely follicles will repair and fine fuzz like hair will begin to sprout 🌱 mainly because of water 💦 switching to natural products removing products that contain chemicals and artificial ingredients and discontinuing tension or heavy tight styles are excessive hair manipulation . Sprinkle in some scalp massages 💆‍♂️ and patience and you will be surprised how the body can begin to repair itself, especially eating a nutrient dense diet to make sure there isn’t any vitamin deficiencies causing hair loss 😁 your such a good friend, I’m glad your my Curlfriend now 💋

@@cocaknotz thank you for the warm 🙏🏻 and yes i love a good to have a good laugh. Less tension was the first thing i told them🤣i know with doing dreads tension can get out of hand and i stopped letting others put so much tension on my hair and its growing longer than ever too and i will gracefully take that advice and pass it on🫡healthy hair over length anyday🦸‍♀️

Ok . You already wrote me this . I get the feeling you trying to imply I am stealing someone’s content , I never heard of this person nor did I say I invented any methods .these methods been around for hundreds of years a lot of us are just now relearning them . I learned methods on my journey and I am sharing them with MY platform. I believe Natural products are the best nutrient dense supplementation for hair , but YOU can do whatever YOU want with YOUR hair, YOU are entitled to YOUR opinion. Thank you for watching 💋

The proof is that it came from a tree or rocks , seeds , flowers and nuts . Thanks for watching
