Important notes 📝 - Cut out processed foods. Eat single ingredient foods ONLY; no exceptions! - Clean foods will remove visceral fats stored around organ tissue over time. Visceral fats will cause inflammation and proportionally reduces the benefits of exercise. A metaphoric anchor that slows physical and aesthetic progress. - Low carb, Atkins diet is a general eating guideline. - Waist circumference is not an indicator of visceral fat, only subcutaneous fat. MRI scab is the only method to find out your composition. You can look skinny but have Fatty liver disease/ high level of Viseral Fat. - Dexa scan gives you numbers, but limited visual information. Not engaging. MRI gives you a brutal image full of data which is much more motivating and tangible to tie purpose to drive action. The MRI doesn't lie. - Processed Foods are rendered less digestible and more inflammatory. Chemicals, oxidation, less nutrients. - Blackheads on your nose is a good biomolecules to indicate how unhealthy. Spiderveins appearing on the legs for women and on the genetals for males is a wakeup call that you are unhealthy/ have high viseral fat. ED is also another biomarker of high Viseral Fat. Lower visceral fat and these areas clear up. - Sunshine, HIIT Sprinting and Sauna increase Nitric Oxide and helps improve cardiovascular health and speed the eliminate visceral fat. - Loosing visceral fat makes you more attractive, energetic and imorove all aspects of life. The rising tide that lifts all the boats in your harbour. - Your health is an undeniable social and business calling card. Instantly tells people your quality of life. - Diet pattern: meat 🍖 centric with veggies and little fruit. Most calories from meat. The guest consumes all veggies and fruit in fermented form. - Fermented veggies and fruits completely eliminates the trace levels of "forever chemicals" that are found on fresh unwashed produce. Produce is rendered in a much safer to consume form. It also has the added benefit of boosting the microbiome for your gut. - the amount of veggies and fruit compared to meat is garnish levels. - Wear gloves/ wash hands around unhealthy people. Make sure to touch and gain the microbes from healthy athletic people. Gain as much contact with athletic or healthy people, hug them, shake their hand. These microbes will influence your decision when making food choices. Your hair is also a nest for your external microbiom. - People who can consume carb heavy foods like fruit, rice or honey is that their microbiom is attuned to consume these foods. If not you'll just store visceral fat. - Antibiotics can ruin your gut microbiome, use with caution. - Don't buy and consume meat that is marbled or that is fed grain. Eat grass fed livestock only. Eating this meat influences your gut microbiome. - Fat from an animal is not the same. Marbled fat on meat is filled with inflammation and diseased. Fat from lean cuts of meat from healthier livestock is way better for you. - Fermented Food examples: Kimchi, Sauerkraut and Pickles. - Stress is a massive contributor to visceral fat. Relax more, work a job you enjoy, not psychologically frett over day in and out. Chronic stress is bad, stress from exercise is desirable. - Sprint 🏃‍♂️ till your out of breath, max out on push-ups this abates any anxiety or stress and helps you vent a build up of cortisol and stress. Meditate 🧘‍♂️ and breathing work can work too if you can maintain it for 13 minutes daily for 2 weeks (external info from US army study on meditation). - Hyper-focusing on cholesterol is over marketed, and a complete misdirection from large confectionerycompanies. Visceral fat is the primary marker for health. - Eliminating visceral fat is the #1 impact of avoiding chronic debilitating diseases.

I have been on KETO for 8 months and have lost 60 pounds. It could have been 100 if I had been doing everything right, but I decided to not be obsessed with it. I pigged out on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas day. I felt a little guilty. Let me quantify my guilt. It's around 0.0000000000001%. It's 3 days. Plus maybe one day every month or two. It's a lifestyle. I realize that. But it's not a life sentence.

Go carnivore! Visceral fat went fast for me, and many health issues reversed with carnivore! Carnivore has healed so much for me! I started off carnivore in hopes to reverse my fibrocystic breast masses that have built up over 6 years eating half a dry skinless chicken breast piece a day with half cup of broccoli and little bit of wheat noodles. We are told don’t eat very much meat- so the world is almost vegan just about. I would eat red canbbage too- cooked it and ate cabbage about 3 times a week. That was about it. So I was mainly chicken, broccoli, and little wheat noodles. So from age 40-46 I started getting all that “aging” health issue mess- and the fibrocystic breast “disease” started and kept building up! When I hit age 46 I was done with it! The fibrocystic masses were getting me scares- and I started getting huge painful breast cysts too! One was around 2” long and 1” wide! Docs would say, “we don’t know what causes fibrocystic breasts disease” and “fibrocystic breasts is now normal because everyone is getting it” and “fibrocystic breast could turn into cancer” and “there is nothing you can do for fibrocystic breasts” and “diet doesn’t cause fibrocystic breasts!” I was gaining weight too and by summer of 2022 I hit perimenopause at age 46 and got every symptom you could think of. My joints were hurting too, no sleep at night, dizzy at times, it was ridiculous! I know it had to be diet! Little did I know that all the other health issues I had all my life, in addition to this mess listed above, was all due to diet! I went searching online and found the truth of my fibrocystic problem! Found out cruciferous veggies (broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, and asparagus) are all cruciferous veggies that block natural iodine absorption found in foods! And if you become depleted in iodine it messes up your thyroid which controls all- even hormones! And all organs need iodine including breasts! They swell if you are deficient! And I read these cruciferous veggies can cause cancer due to lack of iodine in body since they block absorption! Bingo! We are all being told to eat cruciferous veggies, that they can prevent cancer, and to eat lots of it including broccoli!! But in fact they are causing cancer and I truly feel it is causing all the fibrocystic breast cases that have been escalating lately that we are seeing! When I post about this and ladies write back saying they too had fibrocystic breasts, I ask, “do you eat cruciferous veggies, especially broccoli” and they all have said, “YES!” I did more research and found carnivore! I Jumped right in! In 6-8 weeks I lost 45 pounds! My perimenopause reversed! In fact don’t even get PMS symptoms and my cycle is perfectly paced! And so much more reversed that I started writing it down! And yes, my fibrocystic breast masses shrank! I share my progress because I want people to see how carnivore can heal so much and most of these things are commonly healed for many, not just me! I want to help and this is how I do- by sharing. No I am not paid to do this, I just want to help people see and be aware of what carnivore can do! I do update this list as I have been on carnivore (more lion diet version) for 1 year, 2 months, and 1 week now. I feel this has helped so many decide if they should try carnivore. I always say go watch Dr. Baker, Dr. Chaffee, and Dr. Berry- my three most favorite doctors. They are truly amazing! I call them my carnivore doctors! ☺️ * No more perimenopause- completely reversed! *Period cycles all timed perfect with 4 week intervals.And no PMS symptoms, but only the actual menstrual cycle itself! *No more night sweats *No more waking every 2 hours at night! *It used to take me 20 minutes or longer to fall asleep at night when I would first go to bed at night- before carnivore. Now it takes like a minute or less. Haven’t noticed since I am out fast! *No more life long eczema *No more cold hands (may have been Reynold’s disease, never diagnosed.) *No more cold body temp in general! Used to feel like a reptile - only warm in texas sun. (may have been Raynaud’s disease, never diagnosed.) *No more IBS symptoms (gas, bloating, stomach pain, constipation, diarrhea) *No more feeling low energy by 12pm and zombie by 4pm *No more purple looking hands in winter (may have been Raynaud’s disease, never diagnosed.) *No more brain fog *No more arthritis that I felt in hands, knees, and hips- or elbows *used to have sore hips when sleeping on my side. No more! *Lost 45+ pounds from former baby weight and peri menopause weight. *Always had 20/20 vision with slight stigmatism- but in March doctor said my stigmatism is reversing! *Don’t sunburn as easily anymore and tan well. *Wrinkles around eyes seem to be much less. I am 47 and look like I am in early 30’s. *Gums look super healthy. Dentist seems irritated as my teeth are not dirty when cleaning every six months. Think they know they won’t make money off me. *No more sore chest from monthly periods- no swelling feeling of fullness or discomfort that prevented me from sleeping on my stomach. Now I sleep every night on my stomach! *Fibrocystic Breast issues reversing! Almost all gone after 6 years of buildup! *no cravings unless they are for meat *no more angina symptoms before a period- which started about 3 years ago. *No more feeling weak like almost passing out and dizzy around ovulation and periods when walking around. * no more fingers swelling- that started a few years ago- rings kept being tight- is pattern I noticed. One ring I had resized larger and it’s super loose now. Will have to resize smaller. *feel stronger- now lifting barbells not just hands weights. Dr. Baker said since I am 46, and 5’7” at 122lbs- need more resistance training to add more muscle weight. . So bought a 47lb barbell off Amazon and have 90 extra pounds added to it. Will continue to progress with that. *Before carnivore- i had started growing grey hairs in one of my eyebrows, few hairs at a time, but no grey in my blonde hair yet - but assumed it was coming. Now on carnivore I have had no new grey hairs growing in eye brows and still no grey hair in my natural blonde hair. And in the sun it gets super light highlights. * no more body odor! * I used to get a little anxiety with large crowds- like if attending special events- but since on carnivore I don’t get it that much. *I was a bit OCD before carnivore, but so much more relaxed so barely like that. * I was a relaxed person before, but somehow am even more relaxed and never stress about things. *Since I was a young child my sense of smell has been terrible. But not even a month in on carnivore my sense of smell has gone crazy! I smell things even far away! Amazing! *no more allergies! I was allergic to cedar and oak pollens- and mold- but since carnivore I am no longer reacting to those outdoor pollens which is amazing! * I have had no more issues from ear wax build up. Had it twice after having kids and docs would say it was a hormonal problem. Carnivore cured that too! *Veins in my arms look healthier. They were almost invisible before. *Legs no longer hurt on longer road trips or plane rides! *I used to get a popping sounds in my right shoulder when lifting weights. Was probably a pulled ligament. That is now gone! *I have been lactose intolerant since I was a kid, and I feel my nails are a bit stronger than before. They do break if I catch them on things but I feel they are getting stronger on carnivore. *My teeth look more white on carnivore. *My blood pressure has improved on carnivore. 6 years before carnivore up to starting carnivore my blood pressure was increasing. Now on carnivore it is back to normal like when I was younger. Last reading it was 100/75 which is awesome! *i used to get eye twitches in my eye lids, but that is gone. * at times when trying to fall asleep I would close my eyes and at times felt dizzy like falling feeling or spinning. But haven’t has that since I have been on carnivore for 12 months. *the skin on the heals of my feet are no longer cracked and dry! *little leak from sneezing or coughing that ladies get from estrogen dominance is gone on carnivore! Hormones balanced so no more estrogen dominance! *The top inner corner of both my larger toes have felt a little numb for years. Never had it diagnosed. But being 1 year on carnivore I no longer feel that numbness! My nerves have healed in that spot on both toes! Crazy! *My slightly receding gums behind my center bottom front teeth have rebuilt so gums all over are super healthy! I have flossed daily for years, but gums look even healthier! *my skin on my face isn’t as oily as it used to be. *My hair used to be super oily if not washed daily, but carnivore has regulated my hair so I can now go days without having to wash it- doesn’t get oily after one day like before! (Newest update added!) So there you go! ☺️ I hope this helps people on their journey to fins out what works for them! Carnivore is working for everyone that tries. Go watch Dr. Baker, Dr. Chaffee, and Dr. Berry! And go visit Kerry’s channel at Homesteadhow! We love him too! ☺️

Thank you! I am going to share your long comment with friends and family who have been brainwashed by "dietary advice" we've been given since the 1970's. I have been listening to "the keto-carnivore community", starting with the people you mentioned, for almost a month now. All these lovely people have given me mental energy. It is very difficult not to be too enthusiastic, informing everybody when they tell me about their aches and pains. Vegans are the most difficult converts. They'll just wait till their doctors tell them what to do. For ever. Listen to Dr. O'Mara's final words in the podcast. Sad.

@@Ismakogie05 happy to help and continue to go carnivore. Be the light house is what I hear all the time for those that are so brainwashed they don’t want to hear anything about carnivore. ☺️ Even standard docs are brainwashed and may complain. Look for one that supports you. It is your health and body and the world isn’r interested in healing humans. They only want to make money off sick humans. Tell family andbfriends to watch Belinda Fettke on the truth behind how food pyramid was made. Not science based at all. Tell them to watch Dr. David Diamond on truth behind cholesterol if they question that. Tell then to watch Dr. Sally Norton on natural plant toxins. And watch Dr. Chaffee interview Maggie White who has done carnivore for 65+ years! She is age 82 but looks 60 and has energy of a 20 or so year old and health is amazing! She is a rancher who works 14+ hours a day and sometimes 30 hours straight on her ranch with cattle.

4 mos ago I was diagnosed with DM2. High blood sugars and A1c. I was eating alot of processed foods, desserts, etc. IMMEDIATELY I cut out processed foods, pasta, cereal, potatoes, rice, and bread. I've lost 42 lbs in 4 months, without exercise. Much improved blood sugar and A1C( within normal limits). I haven't seen/noticed a decrease in abdominal fat yet, but hoping. What irritates me is my Dr. did labs 2 years ago, and I had a fasting sugar 126, which is pre diabetic . She did nothing. Now I have insulin resistance, which leads to abdominal fat. She did me no favors. Now I am on Metformin.

How much muscle we put on based on our age is related to additional variables. Primarily: 1) genetics and body type (mesomorph, endomorph, or ectomorph), 2) Resistance Training Regimen, 3) Hormones including Testosterone, 4) Protein supplementation, 5) Nitric Oxide (blood flow), and 6) Creatine (to open the muscle pocket that can be filled. When we are younger we have more creatine and testosterone. Supplementation is needed as we age. When we are younger, we retain more of the protein we eat. As we age, we need to eat more protein than when we are young because as we age, less protein is assimilated. All of these variables related to putting on muscle and age have nothing to do with subcutaneous or visceral fat. The variables I have listened above are from The Great Courses lectures titled "Body Composition: Diet & Exercise" by Michael Ormsbee, Ph.D.

@10:29 i did that exact same thing. I was broke, obease, sick, bloated, high BP, big waist 40". Went nuts OMAD, all the right things. But too much fasting. No weight training. Muscle wasting, i looked very similar to you. My wife said you are too skinny. I said i feel great but was weak. I was weak before those changes. Double wammy. Go slow with it and work out heavy weights and short times. Sprint, and then slow cardio. not endurance 10 mile running. Love you sean. My poor sick kid has terrible rhinitus, chronic infection. Went to ENT doc today and they couldn't get a camera in there. Too blocked, narrow, mucus too. All sorts of problems. They said she was the smallest nose just about of any one ever. at 10 years old. It stinks. I think it's exactly as you say, viceral fat. her swollen tonsils, adenoids and air way. Bad bad. She's skinny. But it has to be skinny fat. Weak in some ways. And swollen in other ways. We've neti pot, iodine solution, liquid advil her nose to minor success. Doctor wouldn't even give an anti-biotic when green goop is coming out. Mouth taping during the day. Time to take her to Sean's church. No processed carbs and stop eating any school food. That is definitely part of it. Lots of meat and low glycemic whole foods. You've renewed my faith in what to do. I need to stop making carb loaded foods. I thought if i put enough saturated fat in it, it's ok. NOPE I've been creeping up a bit in the weight dept, with weight training, sprinting and slow cardio. Not terrible but my throat is swelling up a bit too, general inflamation. More poor nose breathing.

Try cutting gluten out of your daughter’s diet. It helps a lot of people with rhinitis, if it doesn’t work try dairy free and see if that helps. I wouldn’t put her on a diet as such, just healthy non processed food.

What an incredible podcast. Great information! I'm a huge fan of you, Max. Your TedTalk got my husband and I on the road to low carb, whole food eating and we've done well! Thank you for your inspiration. -Also a dedicated student of Dr. O'Mara... and of Dr. Ken D. Berry... and I'm SO confused about the lean meat vs. fatty meat. Dr. Berry promotes eating the fattiest cuts, and eating the best quality you can afford (and that you will still be improving your health significantly. -While Dr. O'Mara's explanation has me concerned it's actually damaging to eat fatty, grain fed meat. Gaaaah! Help!

Dr. Berry and others simply are not aware of what they don't know. Plus they want the masses to not have a reason to not go carnivore due to the expense of eating grass fed. They also take a stand, and become rigid in their position. And, like everything we do, they get used to and actually prefer the taste of grain fed fat. And compare that to those of us who prefer the taste of rich yellow fat from grass fed. Similar to those who like the taste of whiskey and cigars etc. But had they actually spent an hour at a production feed lot and used their five senses, they would have walked away knowing how sick those cows being fed that way really are. But few will actually do that.

Naw I am losing fat from eating fat. 59 female and I like to joke I am a fativore/ carnivore ( for 9 months now ). I am healing my whole endocrine system, my brain, my nervous system. Mine needs fat. I eat lamb fat trimmings mornings and evenings because that's what I crave. My taste tells me. See Professor Noakes , Dr Cywes , both South Africans on their research connected to fat. Look at Dr Chaffee and Dr Baker on fatty rib eye steaks. Also I am encouraged to hear of the gradual return to health from the damage done by years of inflammatory visceral fat. My strenght is returning. I have turned to weights. I am inspired to get a MRI scan and maybe a dexa scan and wait a few years to measure the change. I would like concrete measurements to show my many doubters. Hopefully show an increase in bone density and decrease in abdomen fat. ❤

Facinating! I would like to see the pictures he is showing you on that tiny screen, frustrating to hear him talk of things that you can’t see yourself. For your average person who tracks visceral fat on their 40 dollar home scale, what number to you recommend it should be under (most normal people aren’t above to run out and shell out on an MRI). Thank you doctor! This is the guy that said women get hit with the ugly stick as they get older and accumulate visceral fat on another podcast! He is not afraid to say it like it is! But I don’t see many men getting better with age either other than the George Clooneys of the world.

From images on Google, a viscerally inundated person may have 5.5 pounds of it in the abdominal cavity, whereas a optimally healthy person may have less than 1.5 pounds of it.

Haha that’s true about men! The ugly stick can hit us all. On another podcast he said that if you have love handles you most likely have visceral fat. It can’t be measured by scales because that will include muscle, all types of fat, bone etc.
@vanillaghetto
@vanillaghetto 8 ай бұрын
1) Get a dexascan. Very inexpensive and convenient. Not nearly as good as an MRI, but much better than any of those scales. It will give you much more information than you have now. Mine showed that I (55 F) was 18.2% bodyfat, with .56 lbs of visceral fat. And my bone mass was off the charts good for a woman of any age! I wasn't too thrilled that my visceral fat was .56, as my friend (59 F with 6 children!) had visceral fat of 0.0 lbs! We got our tests ($35 each) through Bodyspec, btw. 2) That "beautiful" older woman model that Dr. Sean scoped...the one with all of the nice muscle and little fat...has been taking Hormone Replacement Therapy, i.e., steroids. He "forgot" to mention that little fact, as it doesn't fit his narrative. She isn't so super special that she can defy the realities of menopause "with diet".🙄 3) George Clooney has had plastic surgery, to which he admitted!
@margomoore4527
@margomoore4527 7 ай бұрын
You absolutely, positively, can’t check visceral fat on a scale. Best get a dexascan. Available in Chicago for $100.00 or less. Pay out of pocket. It will tell you EXACTLY how many pounds of visceral fat you are carrying. I have 8+ lb-not good! That was last checked in early 2023. I’ve only been eating low carb for 2 months now. After maybe 6 months, or 8 months, I’ll see about getting one and hope to see some reduction. I’m told sprinting or HIIT and sauna help, but I can’t do those at my age and in my condition, so just avoiding carbs will have to be enough for now.

I agree about singers as role models and I immediately thought of Taylor Swift! I can’t say for sure that she’s healthy but she can perform on world tour singing/dancing for hours effortlessly and without looking exhausted! I certainly see her clear skin and her slim but not skinny body! Anyone who sings like she does night after night and in different parts of the world/ time zones, certainly is living a healthy lifestyle IMO! Now she’s in love with an athlete who takes his health seriously also! They are in sync! Taylor is 34 years old and is an athlete also! I hope she doesn’t ever loose sight of her ability to sing and perform in high energy as she ages! I’m 73 years old and live a clean, active lifestyle, I don’t drink alcohol, cut out eating sugar years ago and eat whole foods only. I think age is just a number! I’ve always placed my health as a priority above anything or anybody because without my good health I won’t enjoy life with my precious family and friends!

I’m curious - I regularly do Dexa scans (Body Spec) and In Body scans and I’m wondering how accurate the fat & visceral fat measurements are compared to MRI
@user-sy7ck3ln6o
@user-sy7ck3ln6o 28 күн бұрын
According to them... Dexafit Body Spec is better than 98% accurate.. however... you wont see the same image you get with an MRI.. and unfortuneately MRI's are too costly. Insurance wont cover them if you just try to do a walk in with no Dr script. And sometimes even with Dr. Script the sleazy Insurance company will try to deny the coverage. When the cost of MRI comes down to around $100-$150 more people will do them. Dr. O'Mara speaks to the fact that even someone who may look fairly svelt .. may still have enough viceral fat that can cause and create health issues... He suggests that viceral fat should be well under 1lb ...
