One issue I have with these new HDMI converters is the mounting options. Accsoon is now selling a new 12.9" iPad Pro cage, but they really should just make an attachment for the old one. I bought one of Accsoon's 12.9" camera cages to use as a monitor and now I'd like to use it with this new converter.

Chris, One more thing you could do. Using a software called ‘Sensor Logger’, you could use Gyro data from iPad sensors to stabilize footage recorded on phone.
@flipnap2112
@flipnap2112 Жыл бұрын
using the "gyro" stab in resolve also picks up the cameras gyro and it works amazingly. no jello wobbles you get when you stabilize normally in resolve. it also miraculously kills rolling shutter. in heavy action I shoot super high frame rate (to eliminate post blur artifacts) then reintroduce motion blur in fusion with a simple node tree of optical flow node into a vector motion blur node.. looks amazing

$200 for capture card capable of only 1920x1080 60fps is overkill, but i guess for Apple there's no other way around it? The only reason monitors like Shinobi and smallhd etc exist is because phones and tablets don’t have video in. It’s a small market so even for comparatively really high amounts of cash you get small, not bright, bad battery life screens.
@chrisbrockhurst
@chrisbrockhurst Жыл бұрын
Can't really compare em to be honest. Atomos can do 8K and 4K 60 which i doubt these will ever be able to do. You can always record Pro-Res on the Ninja and Shinobi. Think of the Seemo as a quick, easy solution for social content and maybe for minor client work on the go.. it's also ALOT cheaper, less than half the cost. The Atomos monitors are production tools for professional work where you need better codes and quality for professional delivery.
@littlehippo5004
@littlehippo5004 Жыл бұрын
@@definingslawek4731 that is a not necessarily true. There are many reasons, but the main ones are their tough design, larger super-bright screens, and licenses to process footage. They also have very flexible power solutions, and phones are much, much more expensive. Any full-time videographer would have to get an independent device anyways to do monitoring, so using a phone would actually be quite a pain. There are ways they could work together, but monitors are here to stay for a long time.
@definingslawek4731
@definingslawek4731 Жыл бұрын
@@littlehippo5004 Thanks for your nuanced input. I'm considering a monitor but it needs to be larger than 5 inches and brighter than 1000 nits otherwise I'll feel like i'm getting bad value compared to a phone. Power solutions may be flexible but when I used the ninja on a shoot it blew through Iphone sized batteries in 30 minutes, not to mention it wrecked the most important shot of the day because of the kangaroo symbol. Which I later learned is a problem from the SSD not writing fast enough, but it was a angelbird ssd made for the ninja. They're like 4 times more expensive than the most premium PC ssd's and PC ssd's will get a lot more data written to them in their lifetime. So I was pretty sad that it failed.

THANK YOU for your very informative video ...... I would like to ask how do you manage to charge your iPAD PRO while using the same time the SeeMo adapter ....... (in case you are filming in a long live event)

Not sure if this answers your specific question. I have my IPad with a Magic Keyboard. The keyboard has a built-in charging port. So that’s how I keep my iPad charged, while using the IPad’s regular port to plug in hubs, as well as an external SSD drive. So I can shoot as long as I want and the iPad keeps charged via the Magic Keyboard.
