Scene from the movie Used Cars with commentary by Kurt Russell, Robert Gale, and Bob Zemeckis. In this scene, they describe how they got a young boy to act hyper for the camera. The commentary for Used Cars is the best I've ever heard and this is a great example why.

I was in retail sales from the Summer of 1977 in Junior going in to High School in the fall the through college to 2011. Now I’m retired driving driving limousines. I always told everyone if you want to learn how to be the best salesman you can be this is the film for their first training meeting just after hire.

I talked to Bob Gale last week about this commentary, and mentioned how it was about the most humorous one I had heard. He recommended the commentary for "This is Spinal Tap" as being even better, so I need to seek that one out.

The commentary for Spinal Tap was done in character by McKean, Guest, and Shearer, though. That's totally different. Don't get me wrong, it's entertaining, but the commentary for this movie is something else.

Awesome, Wonderful commentary. I had noticed the kid going crazy in the film but the behind the scene detail gives that priceless context,.

Watching this whole movie with the commentary on was the best...I mean it's basically Kurt Russell, Bob and Bob with a case of beer talking about all the behind the scenes stories of all the offscreen crew screwing around, drinking and doing drugs, instead of your usual boring director commentary stuff like "Well I shot this scene in 8mm and purposely under exposed the film to achieve the gritty look I wanting"...I mean who wants to hear all that crap for an hour and a half ;)
