Ballon is fine , it fits perfectly in air based decks like lavaloon as a win condition and it has high damage

Anti-Air troops tend to be more dangerous for a Balloon and Earthquake will not help with these.

You can anti building with lava hound if you time it right one tile back and to the outside, the hound will push the balloon to the outside even against non-traditional placements

Yea, I use baloon with baby d and I can confirm its amazing because the baby d is fast making a speddy ballon type of push and because it has a lot of health it can tank for the ballon and take out stuff like spear goblins, bats minions on defence against the baloon

as a balloon player i find this video very useful ballon is like hog rider but flying speed balloon was broken before the balloon rework (hit speed +100% or went to 2s from 4s // damage(not death damage) -50% or you can say it deal half the old damage)
