Over 8 years full time teaching-before that I did individual tutoring for 6 years. I've worked with youth and young adults in California for over 4 years now. Before that, I taught ESL/ELD classes at a middle school for 3 years in Dallas, TX as well as at an adult language school in the evenings.

Pretty much all ages over 10. I have worked middle school (11-14 yrs old), college (17-23 years old) and older working adults (23+ years old).
5.Did you always want to be a teacher?
I always wanted to be someone to help a lot of people in any way, but no. I didn't know it was something I wanted to do until my first year in college when I volunteered at an elementary school. Growing up, I also wanted to be a firefighter, pediatrician, professional pianist, and an archeologist with a focus on Egyptian history hieroglyphics amazed me as a kid
6.Why teach English?
Why not? lol...honestly, it's been so rewarding to meet people from different cultural backgrounds and learning from them also while I teach them English like learning about their traditions, food, languages, life experiences, etc. So while teaching English online is super fun, I also love interacting with people as much as possible, online and in person.
7.Do you teach online classes?
Since I do teach in person, I currently do not offer online classes. I am looking to create my own website in the next year with more resources for English learners.
