Crab pots are definitely alright. My most recent playthrough, I only used crab pots to level fishing. With recycling machines, I have all the coal, iron and quartz I'll ever need.

What getting max hearts with everyone under 2 years taught me is that Kent's existence makes 1 year complete community center suboptimal and Pierre is a pain in the ass to raise with loved items. Also iridium rabbit's foot is the best item to gift on birthdays over most things.

These are all very good tips. Picking up coconuts and cactus in the desert is so habitual for me that I find it difficult to ignore them when I'm going for a Skull Cavern run!

- If you want to woo Sebastian or Elliott, crab pots is the way to go. Sebastian love sashimi and the recipe is given by Linus and put crab pots on the beach to catch lobster for Elliott. - You can turn the coconuts and cactus into pickles but you can also give them as loved gifts. Sam love cactus and Haley love coconut while Linus love both - I didn't know about the torch thing. Finally my hundreds of torches from trash have a purpose. - If it's a villager birthday week, you can give them 3 gifts per week only when the birthday is tuesday-saturday. You can give them gift on sunday and monday and you can give them one more on the birthday. - Regarding the barn animal. I advice not to buy sheep. You can get wool from rabbits and from mummies in skull cavern.

My general rule with kegs and preserve jars is fruits in kegs, veggies in preserves because that's how you'll get the most money from them. There's some exceptions, like salmonberries and blackberries are worth more in jelly form than wine form but both cactus fruit and coconuts are worth more as wines than jellies (unless I made a mistake looking at values.

Thank you kind person for sharing tips with us. I'm new to stardew so I love learning about things. So much to discover, learn, and master. I'm amazed by the depth in this game. The characters are my favorite. I actually spent a few hours making a gift cheat sheet with items that are easily accessible for me so I could print it out . Just so I could know what items they would appreciate since they hate random stuff lol. It's one page back and front. It doesn't tell you how many points it gives you or if it's love or like but at least you know they will not hate it and you will get points. I keep it next to me so I don't have to open my phone to the wiki. I'm kinda proud of it 😂😭

Crafts the winter seeds and then in Winter plant them they take something like six or seven days to mature and then make more winter seeds and sell or pickle the rest or whatever you want to do with them
