This is kinda messed up (which is good for this kinda vid) because if what people are saying is true, that all might is singing the song, the he is basically using izuku and is only helping him for his own gain. It kinda sounds like an abusive relationship because all might is telling izuku that he is worthless and he would be dead without him. Then all might feels bad when izuku is taken because he redirects all his negative emotions from izuku to himself.

This is one of my favorite AU's. Deku follows the same path as our deku, but then he is taken away, changed forever into a twisted shell of himself. The song fits well too, to me, it represents what Kacchan has said, not Toshi. I mean, Kacchan literally tells our sweet cinnamon roll to kill himself in THE FIRST EPISODE. I'd love to see more of this AU because it was GOLD (Chemistry jokes are fun. Scroll down if you didn't get it) (Au is the chemical symbol for gold on the periodic table) (I was doing Chem homework and I couldn't resist lol)

this reminds me of the "Don't Praise The All Mighty" AU. In the AU All Might works deku to the dirt. He claims that in order to be a true hero he must be willing to give up every thing, even when Deku has nothing. He does this bc he thinks he is useless so he grooms Deku to be the perfect hero, but in return, he loses his humanity in the process. edit: go look it up on tumblr and there's a mini series on the AU and different time periods of each part

I get this and it gets deeper everytime you watch it. You can see how AllMight is praising himself on saving someone he sees as worthless and useless and how he is a great person for taking care of him, and overtime All Might realizes how much he actually started to care about him and was projecting his own insecurities on Izuku, and now he wishes he could start over and teach Izuku without his feelings of pride and self worth.

Ok, so my thoughts on what’s happening here: At the end, Shigaraki asks Izuku if he has One for All, not All Might, One for All. Which implies that IZUKU is the traitor and has been working with the League since the beginning. And Izuku replies that he can’t do this anymore, like he’s tired of being a double agent. In the end he doesn’t even kill All Might. I’d like to think he’d gotten attached during his time there but who knows? But if he’d been a double agent sent to retrieve One for All, it’d make sense why they’d “kidnap” him during USJ here. It’s a safe way to retrieve their agent without raising suspicion. And if they really wanted to, he can be sent back no problem. But yeah, just my thoughts. Also All Might, that is an incredibly bad way of thinking of your kid like that, no. And gosh dang it the way you draw Izuku is absolutely ADORABLE. Like, how do you achieve this level of cute perfection?! His smiles are PERFECT.

this is really interesting. from what i gather from this is that all might sees deku more like a replacement for when hes gone, using him? pushing him by destroying his self confidence and molding his into a hero he needs to keep his legacy going? nothing else? my perception on this could be wrong but it seems interesting to think about. and now that deku was taken, and by the end all might is suffering with the guilt of not being able to save him? ugh. it's all so confusing and I love it!

If anyone's interested this songs from Vocaloid and it's actually about a mother who’s husband left her and she’s stuck with the child and because of this she psychologically abuses him. She calls him useless, lonely, and talks about the worst traits in him. Eventually, her child runs away from home and commits suicide. After this, she immediately feels the regret, putting herself in the position of him, feeling useless for not helping him, and feeling lonely without him. She wishes she never abused him, and wonders about all of the possibilities that could’ve happened if she never abused him from the start :D

I know it’s been like a year ago but I just wanna add my thoughts here ☺️ This correlates to canon cuz when Toshinori offered Izuku his quirk he was implying that Izuku couldn’t become a hero without a quirk, ergo meaning that if Izuku stayed quirkless he will never become a hero. Hella manipulative, especially since Izuku was in an emotional state and had a deep-rooted admiration for All Might. Plus, Toshinori knew exactly what the quirk would do the next user-break their limbs. It’s nice to see him have so much faith in Izuku, but that action was incredibly reckless and impulsive. You can even see it as Toshinori only using Izuku to transfer One For All instead of actually wanting to help him become a hero. I love their dynamic later on in the anime, but I will forever be a lowkey All Might basher 🙃 Really good animatic though!
