Number 11 reminded me about how at one point characters had lines recorded but never used referencing invisible enemies/Sombra. I believe most of them were generic, 'I think there's someone else here...' or things like that, but Moira, who was released a full year after Sombra, in particular would say: "Is that you, Sombra?". That line alone makes me wish they worked all stealth call-out lines in somehow.

This video turned out really great I enjoyed it a lot! Great work c: To add on to Ana voice lines changing: Arabic has gendered nouns, pronouns, verbs, and plurals for male and female. Non-living objects and animals also get assigned a "metaphorical gender" as Arabic does not have an equivalent to the "It" pronoun in English. For a quick example, a chair is treated as a male noun and assigned a metaphorical male pronoun, but a table is assigned female nouns and pronouns. When it comes to omnics, in my head there are two possible to translate that into Arabic. Either "robot" or "machine". My guess is that they ended up going with machine, which is assigned female nouns and pronouns, hence why Ana says "Nami" (the female gendered verb for sleep) when referring to them. Another factor that could have led to them choosing "machine" over "robot" is that the word "robot" does not have a translation in Arabic. Since "robot" is a new word even in English (only around 100 years old) there is no equivalent to it in Arabic, so the word is borrowed directly from English with a slight change in pronunciation. I am not an expert in English or Arabic so apologies if that was poorly explained or if any of what I said was wrong. This is just off the top of my head because I thought some might find it cool to know why the voice lines are the way they are lol.

The male and female differentiation also applies to her ult voice lines when she’s on the enemy team. I wanted to write an explanation but it turned out confusing since arabic is a bit complicated so its better if you try it in the game :)

The flapjacks line is also a reference to the bill Murray film “groundhog day” where after going on a DUI rampage realizing he can do what ever he wants with no consequences, he gets pulled over and asks for food, to which a guy riding with him drunkenly asks for flap jacks and Murray adds that to the “order” asking if it’s too early for flapjacks.

Zenyatta also has alternate voicelines for his cultist skin. There are a few, but the one I remember is "blessings and something upon you" turns into "curses and madness upon you". I only play his cultist skin haha so I forget the originals.

when using the wolf skins for hanzo. his voiceline for ''i choose you, spirit dragon'' changes into '' i choose you, spirit wolf'' and his ult changes into a pair of wolfs instead of dragons. personally my favorite skin because of it.

The Mei let it snow thing reminds me of normally Zen says, “Peace and blessing upon you all” for one of his voice lines but when equipping the cutest skin, he then says, ”Curses and Madness upon you all”.

Oh wow! I'm so glad you touched on the speedrun. I never personally submitted a run, but I do remember playing Tutorial 2.0 in my spare time, and was able to bring my PB down to a 4:01. The world record for 2.0 is 3:52.920 by Burchase, where it will infinitely stay, as the current version of the run is Tutorial 4.0, but I fondly remember dismantling Burchase's run for a whole weekend and really trying my best to improve. I should see if I'd do any better in 4.0... maybe I'll even submit a run.

One of Widow's voice lines is a modified, bleaker version of a French saying based on spiders: Araignée du matin, chagrin, araignée du soir, cauchemar. (spider in the morning, sorrow, spider in the evening, nightmare) The original saying: araignée du matin, chagrin, araignée du midi, souci, araignée du soir, espoir (spider in the morning, sorrow, spider at noon, worry, spider in the evening, hope) Not sure if that's the one you were referring to but when you said Widow's tattoo was based on a French superstition about spiders I immediately thought of this voice line.

my guess is ball was originally planned to have a crouch but they probably realized how useless it is for a giant round creature to duck. his crouch looks like his sit animation, which makes me think this was intentionally put into the game and not some sort of weird "forced hammond into the ground" sort of scenario where people do weird leg poses . also i literally discovered weightless by accident 10 mins after i got it the day it was released because i was dancing on a roadhog's head during a customs game and they left the game. me and another echo just made each other float to the skybox it was fun. its such a cool feature and i hope they do more crazy emotes like that.

Reaper has small spikes or blades on his lower arms, which he uses for his quick melee Hanzo does a 360 when ulting in third-person D.va and Moira are the only heroes who can melee with both hands Junker Queen has 2 melees and 2 hellos. One with Gracie, and one without The things on Tracer’s lower arms are used to store her guns. It can be seen when using her “finger guns” emote

For info, Ana’s nam/nami is her asking the playing to go sleep in Arabic, and that’s nam if you’re talking to a male and nami for a female, which has… implications??

Maybe they recorded the voice lines about the generator because they want to implement it with a new hero. I liked the shield gen, I miss it. It was huge utility, and so fun to find cheeky spots to hide it.

Just an unmentioned useless fact, Soldier 76 has the voiceline 'That's 'sir' to you', but if he says that with the Grillmaster 76 skin equipped, he will say 'That's 'Chef' to you'. (No disrespect, but it's a fun fact.)

in my years of playing overwatch ive never seen anyone point out that, on dorato you can shoot the pay phones and theyll spew out coins with clinking sounds, but if youre playing on console edition, the sound will play but no visual coins will come out

about lucios weapon volume thing not moving when without sound. the same is true about the speakers on the opening menu in the 2nd beta. when you got music off they wont move, but if you have the music on, they will move as long as junkerqueens rock jingle plays.
