Ναι μοιάζουν γιατί πολλά από τα τραγούδια προέρχονται από την παράδοση των Ελλήνων στην Μικρά Ασία και όχι μόνο, σημερινά χώματα της Τουρκίας άλλοτε του Ελληνισμού που διώχθηκε από τον Κεμάλ.

I think that Greeks got the best melos in the whole world, beautiful language too. We Serbs like to go in Greece on vacations, and I were there few times, the atmosphere by nights are the best with live music at open restaurants near the sea. I remeber at Stavros one younger Greek girl who sing with her guitar at open restaurant, that was the best experience with me and music, she was singing and playing guitar amazingly, all seats was full, nobody left the place, and people on the street stopped to watch her, and street was full too...

That's why Greeks understand Turks more than anybody else in this world. Apart from religion both cultures are very close. This situation not exist between Arabs and Turks even though both are Muslims. . and not exist between Turks and other Balkan nations so this cultural similarity can not be explained by Ottoman Empire story.
