Why I love in USF4 is the balanced damage , when you get hit in a combo and get a specific amount of damage it actually decreases and at some point the health barley drains out ! If you notice in this video !

At the timestamps 00:02, 00:03, 00:05, and 00:10 in the video, you can see the player quickly pressing LP twice in two consecutive frames. It seems impossible to press that fast. Are there any tricks to doing this?
@ccvector
@ccvector Ай бұрын
Good eye! I plink LP with the select button. The game considers the select button to even have a lower priority than the light punch. So, it works just like regular plinks where you plink the HP with MP or MP with LP. In fact, even for those regular plinks, I still always use the select button (it's a 3-button plink) to give myself more chance of getting a successful plink. It's probably easier to do on a keyboard because you can map the select button to wherever you find convenient. But people do use this technique on pad or arcade stick.

@ccvector
@ccvector 11 ай бұрын
I think it’s range specific. For this combo, Sako did this sequence on Rufus, which puts Evil Ryu at an optimal distance. Plinking the three-kick button also helps as you can see in this video, I plinked the three-kick button (the Shift key) with a select button (the V key).

I don’t know how you combo from that axe kick
@ccvector
@ccvector Жыл бұрын
There are two types of axe kicks in this combo: light and medium. Light axe kick is only +1, so it's impossible to combo anything regularly, but if you do a focus attack dash cancel, it becomes +3, so you can combo with crouch light punch or close medium punch (both of which has 3 start-up frames). Medium axe kick is +4, so you can combo with crouch light punch without having to do a focus attack dash cancel.

@@ccvector I can’t combo from the medium axe kick
@ccvector
@ccvector Жыл бұрын
@@l750z_6 Yeah. It has a pretty tight timing for sure (2-frame link to be specific). You have to wait for the recovery animation of the axe kick to finish, and right at that time you input a crouch light punch, and you have a window of 2 frames to do that. if you are too fast the jab won't come out, but if you are too slow the training dummy will block (if you set it to autoblock in training option). Use this feedback to narrow down the timing such that your crouch jab combos. Good luck! 👍

Keyboard is much more precise. You aren't gonna accidently do a dp instead of a qcf and vice versa unless you do it a qcf after a dash TOO fast. People usually put the movement on the left, this is incorrect imo. Movement is the hardest part, so you need that on your right hand. Tapping buttons is easy and your weaker hand can do it no problem. It's much harder to try to pull off 720s and other longer inputs, you also will have slower dashes if you use your left. I'd argue the same thing for a stick. I think people would do better if they used a "left handed" stick and got used to it. Movement requires much more movement (duh) and speed than buttons do, you're just pressing down your fingers that are already on the buttons, the stick needs to travel all over the place. I challenge anyone to tap their finger and thumb together as rapidly as they can, do the same with the left. You'll clearly notice your left hand is dramatically slower than the right. Rapid button sequences (to mash out of w/e in various games, like mortal kombat 1 minigames) were put on the controller buttons (right hand) for a reason. The reason you need the movement on a controller to be on the left though is for the same reasons I stated, you have to move your thumb from button to button, if you had 4 thumbs that could rest on the buttons, it would be better to have the sides switched. The hand that travels the most distance the most often (movement) needs to be on your dominant hand. It's just science. Posted this as a reply but I want to hear peoples thoughts about it. I think i'm correct, obviously it will be difficult to unlearn years of muscle memory, but my argument is that if you could go back to the first time you used your stick/keyboard, you would have been better off doing it that way. I can do extremely rapid qcb f + D (samurai shodown 5 sp) with 100% accuracy, there is no way I could pull that off using my left hand, a stick, or pad. You have to be pressing qcb almost before the you fully release f. My left hand just won't do that at the same speed, and i'm a guitar player. I really think it holds kb players and those new style controller players back. I can't believe more people haven't caught on to this.
@ccvector
@ccvector Ай бұрын
Thanks for the insight! Yeah I do agree that I have an easier time on a keyboard. Maybe it's a muscle memory thing as you said, but I see more people that prefer this style, which is why HitBox got more popular. About the lefty-righty thing though, I am left-handed, but I do motion on my right hand just because that's the default setting on PC, so I got used to playing that way, and didn't put much thought into it. I think your analysis makes sense, but I am not sure if I would switch hands even if I could start over because button presses also require precision (like the "plinking" technique).
@Pax_Mayn3
@Pax_Mayn3 Ай бұрын
@@ccvector Luckily I thought it felt off the first time I tried it, so my muscle memory has always been that way. My inputs have to be as close to 100% as you can get, I haven't missed an input since I was a kid, i'm not even saying i'm good, but my inputs are second nature. I still prefer a pad for other types of games with the exception being something like megaman x type games that have dash jumps. I tried Crossed Swords 2 (neogeocd amazing underrated game) yesterday and the specials felt better on a pad. Depends on the game I guess.

When fools start to use arrows for movements and other six buttons for attacks they will find It easier ! I m talking to right handed people specially ! For left handed people it would be better to use wsad for mouvements ! Guess what I m left handed myself I mean I was born that way but I currently use right hand actually since my childhood cause at school they forced me to switch my hands that I almost lost control over my both hands my family sued the school ! Now I use both hands but most of times my right hand and I m left handed just to mention again

Yeah for me, using a keyboard is easier because it's the only thing I've used. But I'm sure there're many more people who find arcade sticks or pads more comfortable because of the same reason. I think it mostly comes down to preference.
