As a previous carrier on uShip, the estimates provided by uShip are unrealistic. You get what you pay for when you accept low offers. Quality carriers charge more because they provide quality service.

How do you do a whole bedroom set. Looks like you can only do one piece at a time. Don't want several carriers shipping one set.

Question, how did you factor in $300 for shipping fee when listening the piece because what if it was further away? How’d you know that $300 would cover it?

Hi. Just came across your video while trying to learn more about selling my furniture on Etsy using uship. I’ve been doing furniture for several years but I’m considering venturing out now. Thanks for all the great info you shared, but I do have a question about how you handle a return policy for furniture. I understand that insurance would cover any damages but what if the customer decides they just aren’t happy with it? That would seem like a nightmare to deal with. (I always think of a worse case scenario 🙄)

Same here, I've been wanting to expand outside our area but the fees for shipping are extremely high but I found this on a description about shipping on a furniture listing on Etsy.

I haven't shipped furniture on ebay just yet. With Uship, you get a notification on your app when they're coming to pick up the piece, again when they deliver the piece, and I tell my clients to unwrap and look at their pieces before the gentleman leaves and send me pics to make sure everything is in order.

Is it possible to purchase an antique item (like a vintage glass door or large windows) at a salvage warehouse (who doesn't provide shipping), and have Uship pick it up for you and ship it to you (several states away)? If so, do you have suggestions on how to make that process run smoothly for everyone? Thank you so much!

Yes. I bought a big metal penny farthing sculpture in GA and had it shipped to me in Florida. Whomever your buying from would need to be able to communicate some information but yes it's possible🙂

Have you ever shipped a vanity? I mainly only do vanities. They're the main pieces I seek out, and I make the most money off them. I will very occasionally do entire bedroom sets. But, my main pieces are vanities. Now, do you ship them as 2 separate pieces? That's where my main confusion has always been. Or do I measure it as a whole and ship it as one time? But then they'll be wrapped separately 🤣 I'm confusing myself even more!

I might have answered this on another platform :) You can do one of two things. List the piece for a bid for shipping put together and explain clearly in the description (with pictures) the mirror comes off and the dimensions of the mirror are XXX and the dresser part are XXX and will be shipped separately. OR you can list just the dimensions of the dresser part and again explain about the mirror and size of the mirror in the description. I'd lean toward listing just the dimensions of the dresser part and explaining. It's easy and shippers are usually pretty willing to work with you. Plus a mirror generally doesn't take up a boatload of space even bubble wrapped. Hope that helps!!!! :)

The weight isn't as important as the dementions. I know how much I can lift, so I essentially guesstimate and it's never been a problem🙂 subscribe for more tips!!

hi, does U ship provide a professional packing a fragile furniture? or they just ship what is already packed?

Generally, with regard to furniture, most shippers are willing to come in and blanketwrap it for you. I wrap my pieces myself because I'm particular. If I had something fragile I would have it wrapped how I want it and be sure to include how fragile it is in the uship post before you hire someone. I hope that's helpful!!!

How do you weigh the item?

I lift regularly so I have a pretty good idea just from how heavy it is. Honestly an estimate is fine, like if you'd need more than one person to move it or not. Dementions are most important😊😊
