In Celebration of the much anticipated release of Horizon Forbidden West, PlayStation challenged me to train like Aloy! This was SUCH an amazing project!
In this video I'll be taking you through the journey of bringing Aloy's bow to life and learning to shoot like her!
I've never once in my life practiced archery but after some handy youtube videos i was able to learn some of the basics. The only thing left to do at the end was fight the machines...

This is a beautiful build Frank. Ya the hobby store hunts can be so great when random things catch your eye that would be perfect. Also so frustrating when you can't find the one thing you know you need.

I’ve seen this vid before and while I was at a amazon bin store I picked up a bow. I’ve got the stl for the Zelda now and got some other great ideas watching this a 2nd time but I think I’m going to use flex pla on the bow so it bents with the bow

Hay Man I'm a huge fan and and even bigger comic fan. I am interested in getting into prop making and was wondering if i would be able to print something like your Dr fate helmet with an ender 3 as i only wanna print small thing like batarangs and slingrings ect but i also want to do some helmets like Dr fate, Redhood and Peacemaker. Frank, my man... I'm gonna tell you something you already know... Your work is f-ing epic... but also you need to invest in an air sprayer so you can expand your paint choices and use stuff like Alumuster and Duralumen. Please take this constructively, youre an inspiration to the community and an absolute GEM of a content provider.

Love the build. But why why why didn't you use target tips instead of the broadhead ones you did? 😬 Also, unless I missed something because of montage, when you restrung the bow did you compress the limbs to do so? I mean yeah it's just a prop at this point. But still lol. Anyway keep up the great work. You videos are helping with my armor build.

I bought the cheapest tips I could find lol and I didn’t need to compress it; it had these tension adjusters I could tighten back up

One major flaw with your bow is that you are shooting a right handed bow left handed. That would be problematic for your accuracy and handling of the bow

So! Because of the way I had to attach the parts around the handle it greatly obstructed my grip lol however it was comfy enough this way to hold. All that said, I’m a 100% novice with zero habits good or bad lol my accuracy was doomed from the start haha

@@FranklyBuilt I could teach you enough in 2 days to have you shooting accurate groups at 40 yards. Been shooting compound bows for 31 years now
