Hi there - I am so glad I ran into your how-to for threading a horizontal warping mill. I have been using a warping board using the two crosses for a while. I inherited a warping mill when I bought a used floor loom. I have been wanting to use it for my next project and was having a bit of a struggle translating the thread end and the group or raddle end. Your video is clear as a bell. Thank you so much. I have strung the mill up with post-a-notes and taken photos and saved your video so I have plenty of references between weaving projects. Thank you so much. Take good care.

Ha! I’ve also got to thank you for the Jaggerspun Maine information. I just moved to Maine this past spring, so being able to get yarn etc from a local outfit is perfect. I’ll tell them you are my reference. Thank you so much, Laura

Thanks a bunch. I just finished building my mill and this is a great resource to using it.

Do you have any thoughts on how to "park" your yarn if you're using more than one color? It gets tiresome cutting and tying, and although I've seen ideas about how to do it with a vertical mill, no one seems to have suggestions for horizontal mills.

Hm, it'd have to be pinned or hung on to the top of the warp in some way so the cone/source could spin with the mill. If I'm running something like alternating each thread - I'd just run both at the same time.

Where did you get your yarn from?

A lot of places honestly :) but some of my favorite to work with is Jaggerspun Maine Line. It depends on what kind of fiber you want (natural/synthetic/how silky) and how fine of fabric. I'd be happy to recommend favorite sources!
