Hello All! And welcome to the first coloring plans video on my new adult coloring channel! Today we'll be discussing my july coloring plans, BUT with a twist. I'll pick prompts from my DIY coloring prompt jar and then use those prompts to assemble a list of pages I'd like to color in july. Fun idea! I’ve not seen anyone use a jar but there are definitely lots of prompts out there and people do them in different ways, spinning wheels and all sorts! Ha ha! Fun plans you have now for July!

This was such a fun video to watch! If I didn’t already have so many plans of buddy colours for July I would totally do something like this! Prompts add a really fun challenge and help you select pages you may not be immediately drawn to! You could also add the prompts to a spinning wheel which would be another fun take on this idea 🥰 can’t wait to see your pages coloured!!

I love this idea, I already pull for my reading prompts but it would be fun to incorporate those prompts into coloring. Right now I just have all my coloring book titles in a jar and pull a new one each time I finish a page.

So, so so SUPER excited that you'll be coloring in Adorable Town with Markers!! I have lots of Johanna Basford books and I love my Prismacolors, but I also LOVE my alcohol markers and these adorable books by Lanie Dao and Coco Wyo!! And the coolest thing is I don't think I've ever seen anybody do both!! I'm seriously girl crushing right now!! Would you consider doing a color along in the Lanie Dau book? 🤞

Alcohol markers are such a nice change from pencils every once in a while! I can definitely do a colour along at some point in the future 💕🥰

I find that TBC (to be colored) videos are fun and I follow someone who does her coloring prompts by using the monopoly gameboard and another who picks out of a jar and another who has a coloring roulette. The key is to keep you coloring and having fun with it. Enjoy! Enjoy! Enjoy!

Place a prompt in jar "a page with a cat" and Archie will always be included (even if you don't pick that prompt from the jar). 😺 There is one my little town book that has lots of cats...I think it's no. 14 (not sure) I want to do the same Johanna Basford double page spread with neon jellyfish...it's on my list.

You might want to look at colour with Claire, she has a roulette came you can print off and tgeees different prompts for colours, mediums and things in the page 👍🏻 when you said that many per day I actually shouted 😂

Oh man... Every time I try and tell myself, "Once Im done with this one, I'll do that one, then that one," and so on, the second I get bored of working in one medium I start something new in another that wasn't even part of the mental list! Just this week, I've started one in Oil Pastel and one to try out my new set of watercolor pencils. I've had a watercolor WIP for like a month that I still haven't finished. I've fully embraced the WIP lifestyle, hahaha!
