Nice! I have a smaller quietcool, one of the 2000 cfm fans and have been very happy with it! It's been running nonstop almost 6 months straight now in pretty extreme FL heat.

Me too, I started with the QuietCool ES-2250, I ran it nonstop for 2.5 years and it still runs like new.

I was surprised how much the temp dropped using a high CFM fan that vents out. Seems the best way to cool miners is to get rid of the heat they make

@@CryptoMiningInsider clearly this method is the way! Ever thought to redirect the heat using the fan to the rest of the house for winter (if you have a winter where you live)?

Look into radiant barrier attic insulation. May help reduce heat in your garage. Dropping temp at least another 10 degree possibly or more.

Glad you like it - It's meant for cooling a house efficiently, but works great for my mining farm. This is actually my 2nd QuietCool unit. My 1st was a smaller ES-2250 model I purchased 2 1/2 years ago and ran it 24x7. It did a great job but with my additional miners I needed higher CFM, boy this makes a big difference.

Thanks! It Definitely does - I was using a smaller QuietCool - ES-2250 for couple of years it worked great, but new ASICS add way too much heat until I added the HIGHER CFM Fan and Exhaust the Hot air

Any way you can duct it to the outside? To avoid heat soak going into the house?

I cut larger vents in the soffits under the roof edge to give plenty of ventilation opening for the fan to exhaust the from the fan. This prevents hot air from back into the house area. With this larger fan I learned that moving a very large amount and venting it doesn't allow heat to build up around the miners; the exhaust air is pretty warm not hot. I will do more tests and post my findings.

This is pretty much a simple exhaust return on any AC system. If your home is insulated properly it shouldn't seep into the home. It's probably helping the attic actually. You can always add another type of exhaust/vent to the homes roof or side if you're getting extreme heat in the attic. Temps get pretty hot up there without miners. 120-130 degrees out here in the southwest is the norm. But IDK how homes are insulated in your area. You can always go around and spray foam the joints and any cut outs in your ceiling to insulate better. -A sheet metal tech.

This is a great ideal, AND it looks like we will have one of those old school whole house fans from the 70s, in our NEW place up north, that we will likely remove during renovation. Sounds like I get to reduce, reuse and recycle that bad boy now! Thanks for the idea!!!

@@CryptoMiningInsider Maybe I missed it, but what are you doing for incoming air? Just taking the ambient air in the room, or do you have cool air inlets, creating like an updraft effect? INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW!!

@@GeekOfAllTrades LOL, For the Inquiring Minds.... For the intake I currently I keep my garage door cracked a few inches. Its on the opposite side of the miners and fan so fresh air gets pulled across the miners and vented- see this part in video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/p7F2ibdpqa_VenU.htmlsi=AKxGqD2YRSJu6MrV&t=790 . I plan to add a frame w/ filters to keep the leaves, etc. out. (I'm still figuring the filter part out - I'm open to ideas) Moving this amount of air requires really good intake. Constantly pulling fresh air from outdoors over the miners (even if it's hot outside) makes a big difference in cooling them since the heat generated from miners gets pulled away and vented out fast - never gets a chance to build up and recirculate.

The fan alone is rated up over 6800 CFM (Without adding ducts, etc.) at Full Power, but I currently only run it on low power mode since its 4300 CFM rated at only 160-165 watts and already moves plenty of air for my current setup. With my garage door cracked (2 car garage) I get plenty of fresh air for the intake. I'm looking to add filters, but don't want to limit the airflow much. Which ones did you use on your Mining Shed worked well ?
