Does having more crit chance help, because by the end Tom had 150% and I think his weapons their own chance too. Or is the optimal way of playing. trying to remember how much plus you have gotten?

It would help in the instance theres negative boosts as well, letting you go over 100, but still able to take something like -crit ++dam. Just happened to end way over the cap. If you pause you can view your stats, but im not 100% sure theres a way to see it in the level up screen.
