I had heard it was possible to replace an analog stick t1 or t2 style box using a Wii nunchuck. My current purple GameCube controller has had a bad joystick for 15 years, courtesy of GameStop refurbished...jk no shade, they do often have great product. I’ve learned some valuable things regarding maintenance of GameCube and Wii controllers:
1. You can simply swap the boxes without removing the inside small pieces.
2. If you really wanted, you could swap out the potentiometers from different stick boxes (the little black squares with 3 metal prongs)
3. T1 stick boxes really are the worst out of the 3 different kinds in GameCube controllers.
4. Take photos where possible if you want to remember the orientation of objects without having to solve a puzzle.
