If Karina is forcing everyone else to draw animals as people then we need episodes with the rest of the cast. Jacob makes everyone draw little guys, Nathan makes everyone draw dinosaurs, and Julia forces everyone to sell an organ and their soul to learn an entirely new art program before the next episode comes out.

EXTREMELY important correction: Owl pellets aren't poop. They're coughed up through an owl's mouth, similar to a cat's hairball. They're basically lumps of indigestible bits from an owl's food, like fur and bones. (TIL that lots of animal species make pellets, the contents of which will vary by the bird and what it eats. This makes sense, but is neat to learn.)
@emisformaker

I mean, it is kind of like poop in that it is the thing owls stomach didn't digest, and it was removed from the body... but yeah /damn I pulled out a "well, technically..."/
@emisformaker
@emisformaker 3 ай бұрын
@@shmelvampire In the case of (most) birds, it gets even more complicated because of cloacas. In the strictest sense possible, the thing birds do that we call 'poop' is actually a mixture of what we would call poop AND pee, because they've only got the one hole for dumping both forms of excreta. So the question of whether it's ever appropriate to call anything that comes out of a bird 'poop' remains up for debate. If you want to get technical.

@leopoldbloom4296
@leopoldbloom4296 3 ай бұрын
Ulysses is pretty straightforward, though. If you like puns and Joyce, however, you gotta subject yourself to the endless wonders of Finnegans Wake at least once in your life. Maybe after trying that one out you'll be able to tackle Ulysses as one would a very short story by Chekhov

@@StonetheDestroyer42 maybe I'm biased (see username) but except for his poetry (it's fine and formally impeccable but hardly memorable) but I think Joyce's works are absolutely wonderful, not to mention unique. From the impressionistic, gossamer, dreamy narratives of Dubliners to the psychedelic, inexhaustible, almost post-modern Finnegans Wake, I think everyone and anyone with even a vague interest in literature or language in general should give those four books a go at least once. Personally it's one of the authors to whom I keep going back. A kind of familiar place to just rest and recharge, like how a lot of people have a comfort show. It's a bit sad that the fairly arbitrary stature that academia has given it, especially Ulysses, often scares a lot of people away from ot, or even worse, it engenders a lot of contrarians who either were expecting the impossible or are mostly trying to make a point against academia by attacking its beloved "classics". Anyway sorry about the wall of text, I don't get many opportunities to talk about Joyce on the internet without it turning into an endless thread of disingenuous shitposting. Give Ulysses a second chance some time! Approach it with a ludic attitude instead of an analytical one, and don't worry if you don't understand everything on first read. The important thing is keeping in mind it's an adventure, and enjoying the ride its whole raison d'être. Also there is never any shame in looking stuff you don't understand. No one is expected or meant to know everything. All of this applies tenfold to Finnegans Wake.

Since Dr Seuss got name-dropped in this one, I will again suggest, in honor of this also-horse-challenged artist, an episode where everyone draws Seuss characters in other styles. (Because I'm sure drawing different characters in Seuss style will be too much)

the green eggs and ham discussion unlocked a core memory for me. my elementary school, on Dr. Seuss's birthday, would literally serve green eggs and ham in the cafeteria for lunch dyed with food coloring. it was done with like a special thing with the library to promote reading, but yeah. in retrospect it was kinda gross looking, but i was under 10 and had undx adhd so anything new, fun, and novel, my brain was 100% on-board

Suggestion: Mash up two characters with the same name, e.g. Napoleon (Animal Farm) X Napoleon (Napoleon Dynamite), Hades (Hades) X Hades (Hercules). On another video where I suggested this @evah4431 came up with Spike (Cowboy Bebop) X Spike (My Little Pony) which is also great.

When I was in elementary school the cafeteria would serve green eggs and ham on Dr. Seuss' Birthday every year. It was always powdered eggs that were dyed green, and normal ham. I was always disappointed. I'm still holding this grudge almost 30 years later.
