Barbara,so many years ago I bought this small flower press. My Mom liked it so much that she had my Dad make us each a big flower press. They are about 12x12. Mom lived in the country and had lots of flowers and I had lots in my yard. We pressed so many flowers. I have them layered in a box and forgot about them until recently. I saw where someone used clear gesso to glue them in a journal so I did that. Also I made like a slide with the flowers inside. I’ve never pressed leaves before. Yours all turned out so pretty. Needless to say, I will be bringing out my flower press again and pressing more flowers. Love your envelope and tag. Thanks for the inspiration and what to do with the flowers. TFS! ❤️

It is so interesting and encouraging to listen to you talk through your process. Also thank you for not editing out your mistakes! It’s good to know that people we look up to don’t always have it all figured out from the start. We all do some trial and error along the way.

I love dried flowers. They always remind me of my Mother. She loved pressing them in the Family Bible. But she never used them. We really didn’t use this Bible either. She had a beautiful Gold Leafed Book Stand that it sat on. It was more for looking at because it was so big. When she passed and then my Father passed, I got the Bible and the stand. It’s still got some beautiful dried flowers in it. So that’s where they will stay. But this video was a fun reminder. I kind of have a vague memory of the flowers being from ones my Dad gave her. There’s probably about 15 clusters. Good memories. Thank you!!
