Hi, judging from the fact that he has done harder runs then this one, he probably got them all first try. Not sure just saying. Edit: maybe not after watching the vid but he has definitely done harder challenge runs

Considering the number of challenge runs he has done that have been significantly harder than this, he probably just thought it wasn't worth putting it in this video since he is actually using good weapons for a change 😂

As far as I can tell it's not like DS1 where failed stats=shit damage, it seems to be the closer your stats are to meeting the requirement, the better your damage. Ever weirder, it seems like if there's a weapon that scales with 2 damage types and 2 respective stats, you can "fail" one of them, but it will only affect it's respective stat. You can see this on the weapon stats screen. Eg, my RL1 character currently fails the stats for the meteoric ore blade, because I have less than 18 int. But the stats screen shows the physical damage as getting the + damage from scaling, since I meet the physical requirements, only the magic damage is affected. Rivers of Blood+10 damage vs wandering noble while meeting requirements - 398 (20 dex) Rivers of Blood+10 damage vs wandering noble while "failing" requirements - 244 (15 dex) Deaths Poker+9 requirements met - 362 Deaths Poker+9 "failed" - 338 (1 int too low) So I imagine you can just get a really good weapon like Death's Poker, "fail" the int check, losing ~30 magic damage, but surpass the str/dex checks, right now I have 20/20 with almost +100 from scaling at +9 on it. Really weirdly, it seems that Arcane weapons ignore this rule, and being even 1 point of arcane below for one of those weapons docks ALL damage types on the weapon, not just the magic damage like I'd suspect. I guess it's a way of encouraging Arcane levelling?? Rivers of Blood+10, stats met - 186+94/186+48 Rivers of Blood+10, 3 dex under - 186-80/186+48 (so only affecting physical) Rivers of Blood+10, 3 arc under - 186-80/186-74 (so affecting both) Really weird. So since the Devourer's Scepter is STR/DEX/FAI, and the FAI part only affects the minor fire damage, you can basically ignore that, and treat it as a regular hammer that just happens to have a tiny fire damage bonus (for stunning miranda flowers/blowing up burning pots) I guess.

I don't know if this will be interesting or not, but while watching this run I came out with the idea of 'rememberance chain run'. Kill a rememberance boss with starting equipment -> kill the next rememberance boss with the previous boss rememberance weapon -> continue the chain'.

I found this on my first playthrough. I just killed every Wyvern I'd see, and the red eyed ones were tougher and dropped more runes. By the second, I began noticing that the big dragon screamed and lost health every time one died.

@@Simperonii I think it's like 40 dex to use. Make sure you pick up the lightning attack talisman, the Godfrey icon, the golden vow incantation, and the lightning tear. One of my characters is built around it and it deals about 2800 damage with the fully charged weapon art.

@@Crocomum For PvE, the Moonlight Greatsword and Marais Executioner Blade are seriously up there. Eclipse Shotel and Rennala's Staff are also good. Bolt Of Granssax is arguably the most effective weapon against the Fire Giant, surpassed only by DOT weapons. And it's an incredible weapon in general. Really, these are all good besides Elden Stars.

And the Grafted Blade Greatsword, while a shit legendary, can serve as a poor mans Greatsword if you don't wanna deal with Caelid. In fact, considering how much more tedious it is to upgrade regular weapons as opposed to unique ones, it can serve you well until you get there, having only 5 less AR at +10 than a +25 Greatsword. It's certainly not a bad weapon itself, it's just worse than all the legendaries, and slightly worse than the Greatsword.

@@ezekielbaskerville2710 The main reason it isn't great is because of the low reach and poor Ash of War. It still packs a punch.

@@TheStraightestWhitest I mean, the fact it's worse than some random ass lump of metal doesn't exactly help it's reputation, either. What I don't get is why this thing doesn't inflict bleed. Like, a legendary weapon can be a bit more OP than others (Sword of Fuck and You says hi), and with how many blades this thing has, you're bound to tear open at least _some_ bleeding wounds swinging it. With how rusty it looks, it may well inflict poison, too.

I'm confused. He's got them in cronological order. He should probably move the entire row up when starting a new one, but they are in order.

@@blackdragonxtra Yes, but due to the way the cards are added it's not immediately obvious which one is the newest addition. Instead they can just put the most recent in the same spot every time, which is why I said it will retain the chronological order but will be easier to quickly see what was used/lost.

It doesn't count as a legendary armament, for some reason it's just a legendary weapon as it doesn't count for the achievement

@@brandentaft5164 As far as I know there is no category for legendary weapons, the ones that count for the achievement all have part of the description as "one of the legendary armaments". Aside from being a lore-relevant weapon nothing is really important about the Godslayer Greatsword so it only counts as a normal weapon.

@@brandentaft5164 Legendary items, yes, meaning every important item has this golden glow. Certain armor has this glow, key items from quests (like the fingerslayer blade) as well, even the upgrade material for +10 special ashes (Great Ghost Glovewort) has it. "Legendary" Armaments/Spells/Talismans/Ashes are identified by their specific description as well as counting for the achievement, not just because they are important for the game.

@@4Roman204 Yes, it counts as a legendary item. Just like certain armor, key quest items or upgrade materials the game gives it the golden glow (as well as the gold-tinted-background) as an item, because it obviously is lore-relevant and a pretty strong weapon. The thing that makes a weapon "legendary" though, is a specific line in the description reading "one of the legendary armaments", as well as counting for the achievement, which only the nine weapons Bushy mentioned do.

There's a difference between items with legendary rarity and actual legendary armaments. While Godslayer gs and black knife are legendary rarity, they don't have legendary armament in their description
