Ashley grate work looks like it sure comes up fantastic. Can you please go into more detail on what warter fed pole and the cleaning tool you use on the end of the pole. It works fantastic surely the pole can't be the standard pole you would use on windows as its got to be so much more rigid. Please do a video on this Ash from thd full set up please I'm sure so many of us would like to know this. I'm new in the middle of setting up my own wfp business and your an inspiration to me moving forward on this road. Thank you for sharing you do an amazing job sharing you knowledge and you podcast is great to listen to. Joe 👍👍👍

Thanks for your comments, I’m glad you find the channel useful. You can use any spare window cleaning pole really, but as with any pole, the further you want to extend it, the more rigid you will want it to be. This is a 30ft pole which will reach most roofs. I usually recommend a hi mod carbon pole for reaching 30ft and upwards.😃👍🏼

Hi great videos by the way , you are the one that got me into EXTERIOR cleaning 👍 How many barrels did you use for this roof just as a guide, as I've got a bungalow to do ? Also could I use a gardener back pack to apply do you think?

Yeah, a backpack will do it. Coverage can vary depending on the tiles. Most average jobs will be 3/4 barrels of mixed solution.👍🏼

Ash loving your videos mate, top notch. Do you prefer the dosatron or the chemical box from window cleaning warehouse ? I’m just about to make my purchase however I like the benefit of not needing to keep filling barrels but what do you do in the chance water pressure not great? Also is there a great difference in price between the two ?

It’s pretty much a standard wfp window cleaners pole setup that I’m using, but I will explain it more next time I use it.😃👍🏼

Thanks for your comments. There’s always more than one way of doing things. What I love about this method is there is no stopping to fill barrels, so it’s nice and quick and easy, especially for bigger jobs!😃👍🏼

hello mate. May I ask, how do you maintain your equipment? what could be done to repair a soften brush of the reach it radian or other, if the plastic brush has gone soft and not so effective? thank you

Hello mate, do you have a shut of valve at the pole? I’ve been looking at these as I currently pre-mix into a 125ltr tank and wfp it I’d like to keep using th wfp to control flow but through a dos Arron, with pre-mixing it seems to foam up in the pump so the univalves don’t work well. The slick connectors work well but don’t want the excess dripping back from the pole end

Yes, I have had a similar problem where the univalve doesn’t work well with biocide. You could use a little tap valve at the top of the pole instead.👍🏼

@@aemackintosh thanks mate, I’ve got one of the Gardiner tap valves for pole hose but put it near the bottom so I could shut off quick without pulling pole back down, it does leak a bit but it’s had some hypo through a while back so that’s probably not helped 🤣

Yes, I’ve used one of those too. You could position it up by the brush? But whatever works for you, it’s personal preference really.😉👍🏼

Good morning I'm from Belgium and I speak French so excuse me for the Google translation :) I am interested in this dosatron system but I read in the technical sheet that it injects a maximum of 5% of chemical product (hypochlorite prohibited) what brand of very concentrated anti foam for roofing do you use for this system? me the anti foam to dilute is at least 10% and sometimes it's 20% because the roof is very dirty... great your videos Thanks a lot have a nice week end Christopher

After much testing I find this system very temperamental to use with biocide. It can be very thick and the chemical clogs up the Dosatron. A pump method is better.👍🏼

Hi there, one question : Is it possible that some water gets underneath the tiles when using the rotative brush ?

It’s not a brush, it’s two fan jets. Tiles are designed to repel water.

Hi Ashley, im just wondering, with the runoff you do get, is it ok going down the drain system, or do you have to disconnected the gutters a d catch the run of for disposal? My thinking is that it should be fine as the chemicals will dilute and break down further when mixing with yhe water etc in the drain system

You should disconnect the gutters so it doesn’t go into the drain system. Starting application from the bottom and working up the roof reduces run off.

@aemackintosh good to know. Thank you. I have a few customers asking me to clean the roofs, so I have been looking into it all So once the gutter is disconnected from the drain, how do you go about catching what run of there is? Is it towels and rags, or buckets and containers kinda job?

Also, last question, then I'll go away, I swear. When you've collected run off, whichever way it's done..what do you do with it then? Rags, etc straight in the bin? Or can things like that be cleaned in washing machine without damaging the machine?

The main central part of it is called a Dosatron. This is what you should look for.😃👍🏼

Quick question why don't you start from the top and work your way down?? I've never tried biociding what advise could you give a newbie i.e is there courses etc
