Unfassbar. Hatte es mir gekauft wegen den Sounds von Komplete. Das es auch noch so wunderbar in Cubase integriert ist, ist ein fantastisches Plus. Beste Workflow. Mein Interesse an Native Instruments ist geweckt. Wenn sich nahezu jede Hardware so intuitiv bedienen lässt, ist das schon eine Revolution. Nicht mehr stundenlang die Midikontroller eimpflegen. Plug and Play. So wünsche ich mir das. Macht weiter so. Auf ein erfolgreiches neues Jahr. Besten Dank an das Team.

I just bought Komplete Kontrol s-49 and was confused that it was not working as good in Kontakt 6 as in Komplete Kontrol Software. Thank you for this tutorial, you have cleared some of my confustion :) I'm happy with my investment. Please continue with more of these tutorials for beginners using your keyboards with your software and other DAWS. I my self got FL Studio, but I may aquire another DAW as well. Looking foward to learn from you :)

It's a nice device - I used a few buttons with the generic controller. Only that the switch is on toggle and you have to turn off and on to "turn off" the command is a little annoying. It would also be great to be able to create a Komplete control track in Cubase via the button. But I have not yet found a way to assign presets to commands.

Wohoo! I Finally got my S61mk2. Aaand I love it already. If you are like me and are having problems with your Komplete keyboard and midi integration acting weird. I would suggest you to first to use the USB wire that comes with it, it is hidden in one of the foam things that protect the keyboard in the cardboard box it comes with. Also Try to reinstall your Komplete Kontrol software while you keep you keyboard powered and USB-wire connected to your PC. And also watch this video and bookmark it for later use! I hope you all are safe and will have a merry Xmas and good new year! Peace!

Ich hab mir heute das S88 gegönnt :D Einfach nur wahnsinn dieses Teil, hochwertigste Verarbeitung, was ich mir noch wünschen würde, wäre eine Möglichkeit die LEDs in einen Discomode zu versetzen dass man verschiedene bewegliche Effekte und nicht nur statische Farben einstellen kann :D Und ein paar mehr möglichkeiten zum FIltern der Plugins auf dem Keyboard nach Genre bzw. nach den Instrumenten (Strings Librarys, Pianos, Guitars etc.)

When will native instruments going to incorporate synthesia or have their own version into the amazing LED keyboards as I do believe this would boost sales on the LED keyboards as I am currently trying to learn keyboard and so will many others after seeing this update

Hi Brian, thanks for this tutorial. Today I bought my Komplete Kontrol S61 Keyboard (looks and feels great btw). I registered the KK61 after I logged in to my Native Instruments account and downloaded the Komplete Kontrol Software. Thow I can use the keyboard I have two questions: 1: The Metronome button doesn't function... Do you know what I can do to enable it? 2: I want to use the keyboard in our Studio which hasn't got an Internet connection (due to safety precautions). How can I make use of the full functions of the Keyboard without being connected to the Internet? Thanks in advance for your reply ;-) Ed

Are there any tutorials about using KK with chord track in cubase? If I am in easy mode in KK having selected a key to play in I am unsure if this will align with cubase chord track and that easy mode may well effect the key switches in music lab real guitar.Thanks ..Andrew

Thank you for the tutorial, after following the above video, when I get to Studio Setup > Add Device > Komplete Kontrol S Series ... I can not select the MIDI Input or Output as "All MIDI Inputs" not "Komplete Kontrol DAW-1". My Native Instruments app is up to date along with the latest version of Cubase (12.0.52). I've restarted my computer, turned on and off the device, unplugged and replugged the USB cord and get nothing. It's quite disappointing that I'm unable to get the most out of my Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol device as I love all the VST instruments but now must rely on writing in the notes by hand.

Great solution ! The importent thing is to reinstall KK software WITH the KK Mark2 connected to the PC !

Hi, I dont know why, when adding a Komplete Kontrol track in cubase 12 pro, and my new S88 here learning, the keyboard does NOT automatically connect to the Komplete Kontrol track i created.. it makes the plugin appear on the screen, however i have to go into the settings of the Komplete Kontrol plugin to continually select the S88 keyboard controller within the plugin, and then it will connect, however if i switch on the keyboard to any other mode, mixer or midi, it will vanish the Komplete Kontrol track, and i dont know how to get cubase to as i create a new Komplet Kontrol track - for it to automatically show up on the S88 screen like in the video tutorials... What settings in the plugin or within the stand alone mode do i need to do so this shows up on the screen and continually loosing it on the S88 if i go to a different mode. Again i use cubase pro 12. Please help!!! Trying to learn

just until a few months i was able to restart my playback from the same position by just pressing the play button again. why does this not work anymore? my mixer doesnt show anything on the display (+my sustain pedal always pan the top track t the right but not just since recently this is since i own it) any solutions?

I bought the S88 III and returned it. Uninstallable, it never managed to update it’s firmware - without which it is useless & doesn’t work. From other composers, I heard very enthusiastic reports, too. Once/If you get it up & running, it seems to be great; however, I never got lucky with this

Hey There, i haven't got the $ to buy MK2 or Mk 3 yet and still using MK1. Unfortunately it's only coming up with : KOMPLETE KONTROL S49 Port 1 or OMPLETE KONTROL S49 Port 2 in the remote devices komplete control series midi input and output drop-down. It doesn't have the KK DAW -1 option :( It also only has (KOMPLETE KONTROL S49 Port 1 or OMPLETE KONTROL S49 Port 2) available in the Midi port setup page as well to make visible or in "all midi" checkboxes. What can i do to alleviate this problem? i've made sure i downloaded and installed the latest driver for the MK1 using the firmware updater downloaded from NI. it works controlling the Komplete control environment, but doesn't seem to change/switch when i change whichever instrument i'm working with. I used to just press reset and auto speed fast in older versions of cubase and it would rectify the problem. But those older versions also showed the DAW -1 )

I just got the NI Komplete Kontrol s88 unit, and am experiencing multiple issues. Given the fact that I work a day job, and NI has made it impossible to call them on the phone for support, I may end up returning the unit. As a Komplete user, I expected this to just work with Cubase. I followed the steps as outlined in this video, and I'm still experiencing pretty noticeable latency. The manual for Komplete Kontrol is really not structured well to get up & running. I have filed a support ticket a few days ago and I'm still not in contact with anyone. I may just abandon this product due to its complexity and lack of support.

Automations Aufzeichnung in Cubase funktioniert nur für Instrumente in Komplete Kontrol, nicht für Effekte im zweiten Slot, wie von dir gezeigt. Habs auch mit "Raum" probiert. Hat jemand einen Rat?

I just bought an S61 keybboard and use Cubase pro 12. I have a huge template with all Komplete Kontrol instances and for some reason, the lightguide, pre-mapped plugin parameters, or browser works on most of the tracks. Some but not all. I can play notes in but that's it. Is this a known bug? How can one of the most popular midi controllers not work with Cubase?

I'm currently trying to use it with Cubase and it is a slow... laggy, DUMPSTER FIRE! It works pretty well in Blue Cat Audio's Patchwork, but that has no record sequencer. I'm beyond infuriated with this.

So is there somewhere to get a "script" to use to get this to work. I have Cubase Pro 12. I'm new to it and don't see the Komplete Kontrol S Series in the drop down menu you show at 1:28. I wrote Steinberg support and they passed me off on NI.... said to contact NI and see if they had a script or I could manually make something using the MIDI map feature. No thanks.

Have you installed the Komplete control S series 2 driver from NI's downloads page? [I had issues going from S series 1 to series 2 {had to uninstall series one driver first}]. Connect and turn keyboard on before opening Cubase.

Bei mir will das Keyboard einfach nicht zusammenarbeiten mit den PlugIns. Die Klaviatur ergibt keinen Sound innerhalb von Nuendo oder Cubase 11, außerhalb (Kontakt, SINE, Spitfire App ohne Nuendo) klappt es problemlos. OS ist Windows 10, alle Midi und Kanaleinstellungen sind wie in der Anleitung.

@@NativeInstruments Hi again, meanwhile I cannot choose Komplete Kontrol DAW any longer, it stopped showing up at all. And Komplete Kontrol does not recognize the keyboard.

doesnt work with Cubase LE 10. Transportbuttons not working. When i keep the DAW activated for All MIDI In only notes will be pressed with the buttons. Please support Reason Studios and Cakewalk. Far better DAW then cubase imho

@@3rdorderaudio787 no never got it to work. But Cubase LE 10 is the one I have a license for. Only using Reason Studios and sometimes Cakewalk. Ableton also is to dizzy working with.

Thanks, but something is seriously not set up right. I payed the shop $480 to install Komplete UCE on two computers - a laptop and a desktop. They had my computers for about three months - as the downloading of the whole UCE is enormous. {I didn't know before I took in my computers that there was such a large charge. I have medical conditions and [eye sight etc.] disabilities. I know Cubase is working well with the 88-note Komplete keyboard - I can see both input and outputs - but only the free Cubase vst instrument seem available. I can also get Komplete UCE on the screen - separate from Cubase. But when I go through Cubase 11 to Media, VST plugin manager, there aren't any Native UCE instruments there. I have yet to open up the new desktop computer to see if it is set-up right. Should I just go back to the shop, and get them to give me a demo of how to open it up? It would have to come with written step by step instructions.

no offence but why repeat these tutorials?ive had my kkmk2 for years and when i bought it the tutorial vids were on youtube back then. i think you should focus on getting maschine 3 out instead of wasting money and time repeating tutorials.
