Currently week 2 of the rat meta and I actually have some wisdom to offer, me and the boys shot a green flair at different extract spots to convince people it was there. Works really well with shoreline and that area kill quest on pier (pier boat flair bait) edit: flair gun is easiest to aim but can be done by facing ground with normal flair location is front of bridge to pier right side.

@@JordanH.2002 There is green smoke that says "This extract is open" but there are also green flares/green smoke grenades that produce the same effect, but disappear after awhile, so you can throw them down and make it look like the extract is active

I don't play this game so I didn't realize what was happening until around the 1:40 mark. Stank laid a shotgun with flashlights on it on the ground. I thought it was just conducive environment. Like already part of the map. This game is amazing and Stank, you sir are hilarious.
