Unless your entire team has crappy SBA gen, you should use your SBAs and not let the stun gauge fills up during his last labour. After your overburst, the ideal scenario is your team triggering link time to quickly get him to phase 2. Filling up the gauge prematurely can put the pace of the fight off because you won't be able to use link attack for a very long period before his gauge resets.
