Thanks so much. This is brilliant stuff. Going to solve so many problems, especially if you want to use the same date slicers but for two different data sources linked to two different pivot tables. So you link them with the calendar table and can then manipulate them together with one slicer from the calendar table. (remember you cannot use a date slicer from one of the pivot tables and use the Report Connections to link to the other pivot table, because its based on different sources)

Hello Sir, this is really great content you have. Just wondering, what is the workaround if you have multiple dates you want to link to a single calendar table? I have a table of 'Cases' which have open and closed dates for each case and need to try and show these on a single line graph, so I'd need to link both the Open and Close dates to the calendar table but Excel 16.0 allows only one filtering path between tables in a Data Model. An inactive relationship doesn't give me the true figures. With your wisdom do you know a way around this? Thanks again for the content, really great stuff and well explained!

If I use Date.DayOfWeekName on the 31 dec. 2017 I get 53, but when I use ISOWEEKNUM() in Excel I get 52. How do I adjust the Date.DayOfWeekName, so I gives the same result as the isoweeknum function ? or are there another function in PQ ?

Just got home and tried this. Works perfectly....... except. When one of my columns is the name of the day, and I use it as a slicer, it's in an alphabetic order. I added another column in the query for day number, then sorted that and was hoping the slicer will now pick up the new order of the day names, but no. I know an option is using a custom list to sort (tried it but does not seem to work anyways.) The question I have is if I do that, it uses the custom list on my computer's Excel and I am worried if I upload it to a SharePoint server, the custom list will not "go with the file". Any suggestions?

I know I've responded in another spot, but I wanted to make sure this comment chain had the answer as well: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iqyDp7OCrNeoYn0.html

Hi, is there a way to add hours in the calendar? That is, add 00:00 till 23:00 for each day.

Absolutely - those values are simply percentages (12:00 PM is 50%, for example). So, just create a series of values with XXXXXX.041667, etc.
