We had the pleasure of providing lighting for a local DJ (‪@djchassis3152‬ ) at a local wedding at Church & State in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. We go over the 56 lights we used, the setup in SoundSwitch going over autoloops, movements, static scenes, and overall lighting design concepts.

Hey Darryl, great show I too only use sound switch in standalone mode. Could never get it to connect to virtual DJ even though it says it’s connected. None of my auto loops would be able to be selected so I do it the old-school way.keep them rockin!!!

It’s weird the over rides work on my control one along with auto scripted songs. But the auto loops play randomly and buttons do nothing when linked to vdj 😢 love your vids keep them coming!!

Hi, this is very cool lightning setup !! i am considering to try soundswich with controlone. i rent and setup sound and lightning gear for djs mostly for weddings and company parties, and i was looking for a nice universal solution for managing lights by djs. soundswitch looks great espacaly with serato, but do i need a license for every dj ? or the license is "inside" control one ? Thanks for help, and its cool to watch your videos

Thanks for watching! This solution is what I would use for a rental: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/kLCbgaSr1a7IZKc.html Each license gives you 3 activations on 3 devices at a time. The control one requires a laptop to operate

Nice! Do you know if I can sync soundwitch to pro tools? I'm not a DJ, but guitar play and want to sync lights. Or how do I get it to read the music if I don't have a dj setup? Cheers!

I'd suggest just putting it in standalone mode. Or using Ableton

Hello there greetings from Los Angeles, I noticed you have your movers moving on Static Mode, I see that some of them move in different directions, how do you do this ? I know how to do it in the autoloop section, but I never done it on static mode. I know if I turn on the movement button all movers move but in the same way, I want to be able to move move individually in the Static Mode, thanks for help in advance.

You set the position to THRU, and they'll use your Autoloops movements. (You need to be in performance mode)

hey Daryl . im not sure if your be able to help on this . within Soundswitch regarding the lights, within the dmx setting on the lighting theres Groups 1 -4 but theres also Mover (primary - Secondary and then theres one called Tertiary) would you be able to maybe do a small video on what all them mean / do please. These were evolve 50s, and while this was a big space, there weren’t that many guests and the sound was loud where it needed to be

@@DJDarylBennett I’m used to dj’ing on EV active 10” tops and 18” subs - but looking for the light weight and perfomance sweetspot upgrade. I need to hear the Evox12/jmix8/evovle 30/50 in person, because and get my head around, that a column speaker can hang with my go-to PA. 😅

For those of us newbies to soundswitch, can soundswitch be used as a "standalone wireless DMX controller" without being connected to the software/computer, simply to change light colors by pushing the buttons?

Standalone mode refers to not being connected to software, you'll still need to be connected to your laptop. At least for now, they're always listening to customer feedback and may change course in the future
